I own both of these speakers and it's not even close. The Anker gets all the play time while the JBL sits in a drawer. Why? Because the JBL only sounds decent in a small room, since the bass radiates out the sides. The Anker sounds great in any room (and outside). Plus, the bass is tighter, the highs are clearer, and there's more stereo separation coming from the Motion plus.

I choose motion plus because the price, clarity of sound and battery challenge all competitors. JBL is an excellent brand as well. But ANKER changed the standards🌹

Hi, thinking of getting this. The thing that worries me, even though it has 3.5mm aux input I hear it's not reliable and often doesn't work, have you tried it out ? Also most importantly, I'd like to use 2 sources at the same time, so would I be able for example to use both microphone - be it via 3.5mm or bluetooth headset + backing tracks from the phone for a busking session ?

Hello. I have an anker motion plus updated to version 45.49 and the background noise or static is stronger than normal at low volume or closer. This doesn't happen with my Sony Xb10 or JBL Flip Essential :( . Is it normal?

The one thing I did not like of the sound core motion+, is the fact that the base rolls off significantly right above half volume. Does the JBL do that as well?

I own the Charge 4. I like the quality however it could be better. I use it all the time and it fits my needs.

thanks naresh for the comparison. you didn't mention that the charge 4 is in mono while the motion+ is in stereo. which makes me not get the charge 4. for clarity, better bass, the motion+ sounds better. one drawback is the lack of battery indicators on the motion+. maybe the next model will have LED battery indicators instead of relying on the app.

Even if their price is same, i would definitely go for Motion+ As a sound engineer, motion plus's active crossover is way better than passive crossover. Aptx, DSP and Personal EQ also make me choose over any other speakers out there. I really like how motion plus sounds, subwoofers and tweeters are perfectly adjusted and this makes it sound too well refined.

I'm using my pair of Anker Flare since 2018. I bought this Soundcore Motio+ for the Hi Res audio. it never disappoint. Eargasm.....experience!

Forget about the JBL... not only i worked in a JBL warehouse, but i've also had a chance to hear almost every JBL and Harman Kardon speakers. My conclusion is: there is no better speaker than ANKER SoundCore Motion+ 😄👍. What ANKER did... huh... especially the frequency response of this Motion+ is unbeatable really. The sound is very big and amazing. Speaker has no distorsion, even after i tuned him up in a Soundcore app and a player like jetAudio+ and even NEUTRON64. This badboy simply rocks and can take any adjustment with sound being even better 🙂. Anker really nailed it now with this model. They will get even better and better.

Had both, parted with the charge 4 after buying the motion+, the charge 4 sounds sooo bloated after listening to the motion+, but yes the charge 4 sounds good if you listened to it for only a short time like testing it out at shops for a minute. The speaker that comes close with the motion+ seems to be the xtreme 2, which is still debatable, since it's not that loud for it's price plus the charging system is odd for a portable speaker. But can't deny that bass on the xtreme2 compared to motion+

Anker Souindcore Motion+, I am a JBL guy but this time i go for the Anker soundcore motion +, the highs and mids are way better. I have friends who happened to have JBL Flip 5 and Soundcore motion +, Soundcore overwhelmed the FLip 5 with way better sound in Bass and in Treble. I might get this one this coming black friday sales.

Wow well after this video its clear that the motion + destroys the sound quality of the charge 4...also the EQ for their app thats a plus and updatable! your comparison is a little difficult to choose between because you're playing the music too long in between switching. 5-10 second between comparisons of the same parts in the music would be better to judge. it takes too long to get to the bass and to hear the comparison between the highs in the intros.

In my jbl 5 it supports two devices

I got sony xb33. Me and my wife both can connect to speaker at same time. So if she play song i can stop her song by playing song on my mobile. Thats means if speaker is in my neighbors rang even they can use my speaker how to stopp that any idea

I bought new anker soundcore motion + . Good material quality. the tool is pretty heavy. Material Defect fingerprints remain on the surface of the buttons. The keys were a bit more visible and should have been in contrasting colors. The keys are hard pressed and seen, power needs to be consumed. I listened to spotfy and youtube offical videos for music on both PC and TV and made many settings. I also used the And app. For the equalizer adjustment selected in the application, the bluetooth feature of the phone should remain on constantly. Unfortunately, I couldn't hear the clear acoustic sound I wanted in the high-pitched music. I am surprised how other users like the treble. The bass is strong, it gets stronger when the extra bass is active. But let's give the movies their due, beautiful voices play, details are heard. It is even used instead of center or surround in sound systems at the beginning level. The last sound is not turned on indoors, it has a very loud voice.

But anker motion+ is not available in india . And when it was available earlier it was like $300 in india

I have both and I personally like charge 4 better, better bass and deeper cleaner sound at max volume, the song choice could have been better to really hear the difference, but for the price you cant go wrong with the anker for cheaper price, but you can pick up the charge 4 renewed on amazon for 110 which is a steal, even tho it said renewed my speaker was brand new in the JBL packaging and had that brand new speaker smell as well.
