Hey Paul, I am a Senior in high school who recently ended up spraining both of my ankles. The first sprain occurred with my left ankle during a soccer game, and the other occurred four days later by mis stepping while on crutches. I was ultimately forced to bear all my weight on my right foot (since my left ankle was still extremely swollen and bruised). Eventually, my right foot became just as bruised and swollen, but was still forced to put weight on it in order to walk, drive, go to school etc. A month later, my right ankle has continuously been making a popping/ cracking noise whenever I rotate it on the outer part of my ankle. Do you have any suggestions to treat this? I was cleared to make a return to my soccer team and play again, but I am worried that continuing to play will ruin the chances of my right ankle to make a full recovery.
How does this wrap compare to an ankle brace for achilles tendonitis? And can you wear a compression sock with the wrap? I'm looking for something to wear when I cant wear my boot to give me a little more support
