It is a modern rendition of a wonderful well known Bellini Opera. She acts well, looks and sounds good too. A good effort well worth seeing live on stage. However my favorite will always be Sutherland/Kraus' version. I have the recording of this version and have been able to indulge myself watching it over and over . always with the same satisfying result. Thank you for sharing it with us all. x
She is sublime and those who would criticise her comparing her to singers of the past are missing a treat. Her total vocal, physical, psychological involvement in this role are extraordinary.
This excerpt is stunning. Twelve years ago she was simply the best in the world, for her vocal capabilities, her amazing expressiveness, her remarkable beauty. She should come back to that repertory, in which she could be among the best ones even today.
Je trouve sa prestation assez convaincante en dépit de toutes les critiques formulées de ci de là à son encontre .Ici les critiques seraient injustes car sa scène de la folie conclue par le redoutable " Vien diletto " est très bien rendue .Certes ce n'est pas la précision dans les échelles chromatiques d'une Sutherland ou d'une Callas ,mais pour moi et à cette époque ,elle était une Elvira tout à fait convaincante vocalement .En outre son jeu théâtral est très bon également .

Esta es la más grande interpretación que he visto en toda mi ya larga vida. A Anna hay que verla y escucharla en directo, en un teatro y en una ópera. Es un prodigio de soprano y de actriz.

(Auch bei den Regensburger Schlossfestspielen wurde sie gemieden - des Konzertgestühl blieb ziemlich leer.)
