This was really wonderful!! Not only do I Love Donny & Marie but I also really love Anne Murray and her music also . I honestly grew up listening & watching Anne Murray and her music on the radio and TV . My mom & dad were big fans of Anee Murray .Mom had a lot of her records. Anne Murray has an amazing voice . I SO enjoyed this. Like Dawn, I am a huge fan of Donny and Marie. This was so interesting. Thought to have anorexia for the first fifty years of my life and hearing how feelings get stuffed and not expressed, I was in tears as I listened to mom, Anne Murray and daughter, Dawn express. However, mine was not anorexia, but Celiac Disease, malabsorption syndrome. Nutrition deficiency. At nine months pregnant, I only weighed 131 lbs. At start, I was 102. I did everything I could not to grow myself, so I ate as little as possible due to pregnancy nausea which I felt all day long. I was married to a man who could not handle my tears, so self expression was greatly suppressed for over 23 years. At 67, I am just awakening to this reality of the lack of self expression, thanks to this video! Imagine changing an old lady’s life! Thank you to Donny and Marie and crew for producing this. How I, too, would love to meet you. This self image deficiency impacted my 43 yr old son so severely, he never had children nor got married. Raised in a military family, He, too, was brought up without the ability to adequately share his feelings adequately.
I love Anne's favorite! I love them all... however, for some reason I play "Could I Have This Dance" on my trumpet just about every day...and try to make it sound like Anne! I miss by a million, but I pretend! BTW, yes, I love Donny & Marie too!!! Y'all are awesome gifts from God!
I needed this. I didn't know that singer/philanthropist Anne Murray and her daughter Dawn were on the Donny and Marie talk show. Not only did they discuss Dawn's anorexia recovery and Anne's separation from her husband, but they also had Anne and Dawn sing a beautiful duet. First time for me to see this. This show was from 1999. Anne has been retired for 0ver 15 years. She lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She LOVES to play golf. She will be 79 years old June 20th of 2024.

I agree Anne, I can think of many other things I could spend that money on. Not saying they didn't work for their money like Anne did, but Anne is from an earlier time when money wasn't, so easy to make.
In the first place I didn't even realize she was still alive because I watched her when I was a kid and I'm 64 I don't know where the hell this program came from and I'm from Canada I'm from Nova Scotia
@@bonniespruin6369 I live in Halifax, and I saw her in the Superstore last year. She walked by me in one aisle, and about 5 minutes later, we crossed paths again. I made sure to get a good look the second time, without staring rudely. It was her! So straight in her walk, you know the way she is so focused and calm, and yes, she is old, but looks good. It was quite a thrill, to tell the truth. Just wanted to share that. :) Take care!
@@jennifermarlow. This is too funny. Back in the late 80's or early 90's (don't remember the year) I was grocery shopping in Richmond Hill ON. I went to the meat section and was perusing the offerings and turned my head to the left...and lo and behold..standing a foot away was Anne Murray. I believe she lived down the road in Thornhill at that time, but I was impressed that she was out doing her own grocery shopping. As Canadians will do, like you, I left her alone to shop, much as I wanted to say hello and tell her how much we all love her. Early on in my eldest sister's professional singing career, she had set up 'The Singing Telegram' Company in Toronto to make some extra money. She delivered one to Anne at a hotel one evening back in the 70's. She wasn't advised who the telegram was for, so when the door opened and she saw Anne, she was surprised. Anne is just a lovely person and who can't help but love her and her gorgeous voice.
