My favourite song on this video is *"We Rise Again"* with the Rankin Family, Rita MacNeil, Men of the Deeps, near the end of the video. It makes me cry when listen. 😥 Wherever you happen to live in the world, it sounds like a perfect anthem for rising from heartache and suffering, and to help others to do the same thing.
Not only love Anne Murray, I also loved Nova Scotia. Spent too few days there last year (2017) and fell in love it and it's people. Should be on everyone's Bucket List! Thank you for the upload. Loved it as well.
Been to the Anne Murray Centre 3 times; Springhill, NS. I love Anne Murray and her music. Love Nova Scotia. I camped in my van, along Cape Breton Island. Praying I can return. Keltic Lodge would be great to visit. Halifax, too. I went to Bay of Fundy on way to NS. Visited Digby, and many other beautiful places. Visited Prince Edward Island, too, a couple of times. Special places. I cover a few of Anne's songs, when I sing. The song she sang at beginning of video is one; What About Me. 🙏🙏🙏✌🎶🎤⚘👍❤
Has to be my favourite video. What a fantastic line up of talent. Of course it does bring tears to my eyes when I remember those who have since passed, but they will never be forgotten in our hearts. One day I hope to visit Nova Scotia and take in all these sights.
I've never heard of The Rankin Family until recently, when I heard them sing *"We Rise Again"* over the radio. Beautiful song! Nor have I heard of Rita MacNeil before. Beautiful singing voice.
Its so nice for Anne,to mention the History of settlers in the East coast,Very interesting to know more,Going back in the 1600,God Bless all the Acadian/East coast folks.
ive been to Halifax, Nova Scoita in 2004 when the plane landed at the Halifax International Airport then took the bus and stop at Turo, Nova Scoita onto New Brunswick went across the Conferderation Bridge to compete at the 2004 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games representing Team Ontario
Anne pretty much sums up the Canadian ethos. Responsible, focused, serious people who also have a deep vein of whimsy. Toronto is exciting, Montreal is mystical (I think) and anywhere you wander, city or countryside, the dining is out of this world. It is strange to be in a nation with two languages yet no confusion resulting. And everyone is so nice. I was there for the 1967 World's Fair in Montreal and at this late juncture can still remember just about every experience there.
Anne Murray sings What About Me on the house of Nova Scotia and a folk song the Nova Scotian girls danced Cape Breton is only a house Anne Murray & Rita Macneil sings Flying on Your Own
A remarkable T.V. special, but all her T.V. specials were truly special. She has always been a perfectionist about her art and her work and it surely shows here.
i respect her decision to rest, she has given to us most of her life and her talent. Taking time for herself and her family at this time in her life is great, and to be respected. We do have her recordings, youtube postings, its enough, kick back an listen, and give her the grace of this time
I grew up listening and singing Hey what about me by Anne Murray in the back seat of the family station wagon each summer from Syracuse. New York to Amherst, Nova Scotia. Now my mom.and step dad own the old shipyard campground in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. I never knew Nova Scotia was the one of the poorest provinces.

What year was this recorded? (C) MCMXCIII: 1993? HD picture aspect ratio did not exist then, did it? In that case, the original picture must have been cropped at top and bottom to conform to the HD screen.
