it's 2024 and I just stumble this video of Jan Arden and Anne Murray..I feel bad maybe because I did not watch u tube .I was busy working day and night and weekends too..just to have both ends meet..Now I get to listen more to my favorite Canadian singers most especially Anne Murray.I love her voice it's so distinctive..❤❤
when two distinct voices simply sing together you get this! Bare bones, subtle, smooth and soothing. It didnt' need to be loud, it is just right as is.
I grew up on Anne's music. She's like that warm smell after the summer rain you long for all your life. It's familair and cozy. She and John Denver were my absolute favorites. Later in life Jann Ardedn came along. Turned my world around. Such a beautiful voice of an angel, and ethereal beauty. And so many thought provoking lyrics! I just adored her. I can listen to her and then everything from my twenties comes rushing back. (I'm in the 40's group now...) But when I saw these two were performing together? NUTS. Great vs Great. Nobody loses, but everyone wins!! THANKS God for your meddling hand in bringing these two masterpieces on stage together for my listening pleasure! par excellence comments, I just want to add that though Ann Murray is a very senior and sentimental and melodious singer Jann Arden came later, bit with a class of her own.She transports u into her world with her immaculate style and fluctuating nasal voice; which is difficult to compare.
Jann's masterpiece, among so many. I have everything she has recorded. She is a genius. Anne and Jan are longtime friends and when singing together are heavenly.
Now she is a teenager I happened to see this beautiful face while browsing after she used my I pad. And notified my son her dad what is her picture doing on u tube I am told that her brother and her were making puppet videos ,and making them outside Again When I noticed these adorable children jumping off swings on a slide etc they were in my back yard and were my precious grandchildren . The greatest thing that happened was ( my husband passed suddenly In March , so We always listened to oldies in our car & hour

I used to listen to this and cry when I was 16 and my boyfriend; first love would fight or frequently break up. The all consuming intensity of young love...this takes me there. Music is such an amazing journey through time....

I love the lyric to this song!!! It's haunting. It's a great song to sing along to. Jann's voice is perfectly suited for this song. There is so much emotions in her voice, it just feel like it hit you in the gut. It's a song that I never get tired of listening to over and over again. I was 23 years old when this song first came out in 1996. It brought back a lot of memories.

I really love their rendition of the song in this video. You could tell how great their musical talents are. And you could feel the emotion in their performance. Jann Arden is one of my favorite artists in my childhood.

When this came out I listened to it over and over. I found it so down to earth and talked about my life. Just coming off of a divorce and a big move, I found this music and her voice speaking to my insides. Not sure what happened to the disc, but if I can find it again, I'll buy it.

In 1969 I had just arrived back in the states from overseas. We had arrived at the Naval Station in Bremerton WA. I had 30 days leave, and had bought an old red and white 1959 Corvette. It had an eight track player attached under the dash, and I bought two eight track tapes. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Deja Vu, and Anne Murray Snow Bird. Those two tapes carried me and that old Corvette from Bremerton to Chicago for my leave, and back to the west coast for my next duty station at NAS Alameda CA. I have been an Anne Murray fan ever since. She is a very special woman.

Wow. Impressed with Ms. Arden. And that's my "Aunt Annie"... my Aunt was one of Anne's good friends. My childhood in the 70s was so much richer with this amazing woman in my life. Bravo to all on that stage !!
since when a child ive learned to sing when my cousin teach me on my father small karaoke with minus one tape, ive heared the songs of anney murray it feels me really good and i really liked it since when i heared her voice i know she is the one of my favoritte and i liked her eyes and the way she speak... i love you anne murray... you are my inspiration, until now ive always sang your song very much and i can sing very cool voice.
