It is February 29th, 2024, I got off work a couple hours ago and wanted to hear “Can I have this dance” by Anne Murray. So, I RU-vid’d it and this video popped up. So, glad I came across this because she sang some really good songs! I am 51 & grew up listening to Anne Murray because my mom LOVED her and her music! I use to watch my mom sing to her songs. My mom has since passed away, but listening to Anne’s songs brings joy to my heart cause it reminds me of my mom and her love for country music. ❤ Thank you, Anne, for some great memories! (By the way, my kids would make fun of me for listening to “old” music like this. 😂 Just goes to show ya, they have NO taste in good music!)
Tuesday, July, 2023 - I am watching this wonderful show of Anne Murray and loving every minute! I am a9O year old lady in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Thank you!
A few years ago I was in St Augustine, Fl on the way home. I stopped at a convenience store. I had my iphone in my pocket playing "Make Love To Me." That song was written in 1955 a year before I was born. She recorded it in I think 1980. Anyway, the line was backed down the isle. The store crew was young and totally goth in dress, black and pale faced with multicolored hair. Yet as I approached the checkout the young girl started singing with the song and I joined in, we did a duet as Anne led us. She didn't miss a word or a tone. She was awesome. It broke the tension in the store as we all waited. The crowd gave us a standing ovation, well they were standing in line so there wasn't much choice there but we all had fun. I had to ask, "You are too young to know this music, how do you know this?" Her reply, "I was raised by my Grandmother." You never know who you will influence, it goes on....a pebble in the lake.
A remarkable story. I had an eating disorder ( anorexia) But I loved The Lord. 1990 had no records tapes of Anne, but ordered The Best of Anne Murray from the TV. I used to sleep 12: midnight till 4:00 am. Then get ready for work. Many nights instead of sleeping I would listen to Anne, and drink health tea. The time went so fast. I knew Jesus was healing my mind. Started writing and everything rhymed. Still writing
She's still the BEST,even She's been retired a long time. I had the privilege of visiting with Anne's mother in SPRINGHILL. Her mother had just celebrated her 92nd birthday. I called MRS. MURRAY, and she told me to come on over. We had a lovely visit. She's been gone to heaven for many years, but I wouldn't take anything for that visit. Now, Bruce and David are gone to heaven. I know that Anne misses them all very much!!!!!
Saw you at the MN State Fair. It was cold. You had the audience in the palm of your hand. You came back out at least two times. The audience just sat there. Did I mention it was cold. Electric!!!
yeah absolutely I’ve been married for 32years I was 24 and she was 20. She got cancer in 2020 I was totally lost without her. She took a major hit the treatment was horrible for her. I could do nothing to change any thing so I felt helpless.. I miss her everyday. Mothers are the glue that holds everyone together. seeing this makes me miss her even more I come to this page all the time just to have that nostalgia 🥺😢😢
How can anyone dislike this? As an American, I find Anne's voice is refreshing still today. Back when there was substance in lyrics and understanding of life. Thank you AM.
Can I Have This Dance was our wedding song for our first dance as husband and wife. My husband died in 2003. But that song strikes a sentimental chord every time Anne sings it. I hold the song in my heart.

Ann is so loved throughout the world. Here in Ireland she is truly loved. One of my favourites "You needed me " and of course "Fall in love again " to name but a few. Well done Ann..
As I was scrolling through videos, this one became on my screen. I thought "Oh great, I love Anne's music". Then I saw that it was more than 1h 30m long. I thought, "I have to take a look at it for a minute or two. Before I knew it, the video was over. Listening to Anne Murray was a better way to spend my afternoon, than doing the housework that I needed to do.
I am in USA of Canadian family. My heart is wish I could be with you and Anne keeps in heart in her music all of it, agree with your comments! Canada I stand on gaurd with you!❤
Originally, I listened to this with my dear husband, he thought Anne Murray was the absolute greatest songbird that there was. He passed away just a little over a year ago and listening to this now has me in tears, I miss him but I somehow have the feeling that he is listening too. Thank you.
Just beautiful. One of the most awesome voices of all time. Anne....We love you! Not all Americans are total jerks....We love and appreciate talent....Thank you so much CANADA!!!! You are awesome!!! And she did the Teddy Bear song! You can't beat this woman....what a performer!!
One of the true greatest performers of all time. In music the word great or greatest are so over used or misused words, but not when it comes to the great Anne Murray. Thank you Anne for your great music
I will never forget that beautiful unique voice of yours!. Anne I was a tomboy too! Good for Us! Lol keep on keeping on, Anne! Hope you are enjoying your family now! You and they deserve time with each other!
Im 87 yrs and still enjoying your beautiful voice! And who decided you were country! Not so! Your music and voice belongs right alongside Sinatra, Crosby, Page, Gary and the rest of the great singers of our time! Keep singing, Anne even if its to your lil grandchildren only! Love you, Barb
Anne Murray is my number one singer still this day 2/4/2022! I went to one of her concerts in Baltimore, MD, many years ago! Best concert ever! My sole mate and love of my life, love her song, “You Needed Me” it was a song we sang to each other! He is gone now, but the song lives on! Thank you Anne Murray for your beautiful voice! You are a roll model!
She is truly magnificent. I was fortunate enough to be able to see her in concert, Atlanta, GA. had to be sometime mid 70's FABULOUS !!! GOD BLESS YOU, KAREN 🙏🏻💥💞
In these days of autotune and many singers sounding so much like the next one, it's gratifying to hear Anne Murray. You'd never mistake her voice for anyone else.
I say this often, especially when talking about singers of today. I feel so lucky to have grown up in the 60s/70s. When these new artists come on, it's rare you can tell right away who they are. I think Adele and Lady Gaga stand out.... but back in the day, you knew if Anne/Olivia/Linda/Bonnie/Karen were on the radio, you just KNEW.
In 1991, I took my nephew and granddaughter to the Calgary Rodeo, and not sure how we got to see you but we did. My nephew wanted your music as he was in love. We played that tape all the way to California. Nice to hear you again.
There isn't anything else to say, She's so cool. Added that she's a Nova Scotion too. Thank you Anne, I know sometimes it's been hard. You brought joy to my life.
March2/23 Always great, still our Anne Murray, still that wonderful voice, still that gutsy attitude, loved you, Anne, our Canadian pride and joy🇨🇦🍁🦔🦆❣️Noni, 84, Sask origin!

Beautiful voice and performance as always, but what I love most is the happy place she and her band create. I love the smiles and the higher vibrations. Thank you Anne Murray for your enormous contribution in raising human consciouness!
You needed me has always touched my heart. When I heard it for the first time I cried. I related to it at the time and still do. I don't think anyone else could sing that song as well as Anne Murray. She has always and will always be my favorite singer of all time. Thanks Anne..............
My very favorite song as well! My wife, who is my first girlfriend, and I have been married 53 years and we love Anne Murray’s songs to this day. “You Needed Me” was the song that spoke to me emotionally so deeply about my wife the first time I heard Anne sing it. I am truly a blessed man!

We went to one of her concerts before she passed away and it was one of the best days of my life. I will never forget that day for the rest of my life. This is dedicated to you, Mom. Love you and miss you so much. 😘
Anne Murray, her voice, her poise, her talent to remember the lyrics of all the songs, her down to earth personality! My only dream, to meet her and maybe sing with her🤗 God bless you Anne. ❤️ Just a closer walk/ Take my hand, You needed me, A million more, Just another girl, Yucatan cafe, everyone of them ❤️
I just found this and watched it last night. Didn’t think I could see it not being in Canada. Loved every minute of it, and every minute of all the concerts of hers I attended! She’s just the best.
Anne. I am like everyone else, a great fan of yours. You are one month exactly older than I am. I was born July 20 th, 1945. In Montreal. Having said that, you are thee best of the best.😂 I love every song you have done and my grandkids know I am a such a great fan of yours even though they have no idea who you are and kind of make a little fun of me. I say to you “What do they know” lol. Thank you for just being you, a true Canadian , and a very compassionate person inside and out . 💕💕
I’ve been listening to Anne Murray for almost all my life, and I’m 43 years old. I watched the whole thing, and I absolutely loved it. I was singing along with her on so many of her songs. Thank you very much for posting this. 😊❤️

I have listened to Anne since I heard Snowbird in 1971. I have loved & always will love my all time favorite #1 singer. I had the honor & privilege of seeing her perform in person at The State Theater in New Brunswick, N.J. in 2002.
such a lovely lady with a God-given voice she's shared with the world.... I remember, at the height of her fame, having a cassette of her most famous songs... almost played it to death! thank you, Anne, for all the lovely music...
As I was watching/listening to Anne Murray and remembering where each song took me and who I was visiting, I wondered how many lyrics she's got stored under that perfect hairdo. Anne, you will never know how many men/women you've affected emotionally, romantically and positively with each note you never miss.. You're living my life.Thank you, Truly.
The first time I heard of Anne Murray was way back in junior high school, we had just booked her to do a concert and as luck would have it, just a couple of weeks before she was to perform Snow Bird rocketed to #1 in the US. Needless to say we sold out and she was kind enough to rework the night, so that we were able to do two sell out shows.
Anne, loved all your music, but my kids grew up on the Dragon in the Driveway. We wore out 2 cassettes and 2 CDs. My son can still sing all the words. He's al.ost 50. He was in grade school when I found that album. Love you. This concert is such a treat. So many WONDERFUL memories.
I love Anne Murray, and I'm so grateful this special was shared with us. It brought tears to my eyes because my mom also loved Anne Murray and "Could I Have This Dance" was her favorite song. I took my mom to an Anne Murray concert, and I treasure it, as it was the last concert we shared before my mom passed away in 2010. Thank you for helping me relive a special time with my mother.
Very dear Ann Murray , I loved your voice from the first time and days when we interred Canada years ago.. I still love and admire your voice, your personality, God bless you always 👏👏🌹🌹🌹💗💗🙏🙏🙏
