Oh my Goooood!!!! The same as i did from season 1 to 3... i told that to myself that i really will not skip it cuz the music is like so natural to me like as if its happening to me hehe
I was never into Anne of Green Gables as a kid. Mum liked the show, sister too, I think. I remember when Road to Avonlea debuted and watched a little of it...I suppose I must have watched some Green Gables because mum would say how Road to Avonlea was set in the same world, and I appreciated the significance of that. So when a friend recommended twice to my ears this new iteration called "AnnE" back in March, I was scratching my head and thinking "Anne of Green Gables?! ...Suuuuuure..." No interest. Yet she continued to go on about it next time we'd meet up. One Saturday night, I couldn't sleep, April 23rd. Bored. Sought out some new shows I'd never seen and AnnE showed up, so I made some food and sat down. I was IMMEDIATELY intrigued by the dramatic opening scene of what turned out to be Matthew bolting through the surf on his horse trying to catch a train. Well played. -But THEN these SPELLBINDING opening titles come on...and I must not have blinked the entire time. Tragically Hip song?! This little KID's playing AnnE of Green Gables?! I didn't know she was so young! And the ARTWORK....HAUNTING!!! It's like AnnE of Green Gables was being depicted in an almost Saintly fashion, with a sort of mystical reverence. I thought to myself: "You don't devote such uniquely beautiful opening titles to a character and show that's mediocre; this MUST be some kinda cool show." And to my utter delight, I was not mistaken. I teared up several times, and the very end of episode II had me crying AND laughing simultaneously. -That's NEVER happened to me before :'D
This show is so so so beautiful and looking now all the work behind the intro (something that we may think as simple since it's just the intro) shows the love and work behind this show and it makes me so happy. I'm still sad the show got canceled because it's a shame losing this show that speaks very important topics, that have a very strong female leader and that it's just so beautiful.
Nailed it when he mentioned the intro is a foreshadowing and first impression and they really gave you a window into the world of Ann with an E. Many shows fall short in this area or don’t take advantage. I neeever skipped/skip thru the intro in the show. It’s just too good 🤌🏽
I really want to give round applause to artists. I’m totally into. I remember in the first episode, i was like whoah holy grail. It’s so pretty with lots of golds. And its so weird I can feel so nature and pure soul. Im so amazed that how he can corporate the nature and Anne in one. I’m ALREADY FAN of this artist!!
Opening titles are like a book cover. Love the art direction and your experience that you put into the opening titles. It's art!! I am saddened that series was discontinued by Netflix. I think it was the kind of program that should been allowed to tell its stories, especially stories for children who can be inspired by Anne. Hoping to see more, more, more of your work! By the way, is there an awards category for opening titles. This should win!
Brad Kunkle's paintings are one of the most beautiful paintings I've ever seen. That + the intro are just mindblowing. I love everything about this show, but the intro speaks by itself.
This is the most beautiful intros ever. And she was painted. Damn the artistry makes me watch the intro everytime. I usually just skip the intro when I watch anything else but not Anne with an E. And the song!! ❤️❤️❤️
The main reason i got hooked into the series was the intro! The artwork was truly beautiful that I didn't click out of the episode and I keep coming back after every episode.
Wow! This gives the opening a ton more depth! I really LOVE how they used 2d actual paintings as part of it, I wish this video was longer!!!!! I want to see, in-depth, how they made this! But this was so cool! :D
Literally, the most beautiful and breath taking of main title sequences I have seen (most especially on Netflix. And there's a lot of good ones.) It fits Anne's character perfectly. Well done.
What an amazing gift this man has! I also thought these were photographs! I loved the books as a young girl and I love love LOVE the series. I can't wait for the next season!!!
The only intro to any show I have never skipped / wanted to skip. I marvel in awe everything I view it. Such stunningly sublime artwork. Brad Kunkle is an bloody amazing artist, and there could be no better song selection (respect for Gord Downey)
Ohh!! My God seriously I saw all the intros straight from season 1 episode 4 till end initially i was skipping it, i dont know something about music and the gold leaves are flying and especially the part where two ann's are standing pinkies crossed that potrait really makes me feel something struck me. Oh my god literally i could not have imagined in my wildest dreams that it was a PAINTING!!!!!!. By the way its very beautifull.
Fourth cut into the title and I was jumping, it's Brad's work, this is the one of the most beautiful and inspirational character based title is, which this series is all about!
This is one of the most beautiful and intriguing title sequence I've ever seen 💙💙 i honestly thought she was photographed and then special effects were added... The paintings are beautiful. The colouring is so pure and apt for Anne of Green Gables. You guys should be so proud of your work 🍁🍁
