Customer comment here (and no affiliation with Burstfire or any other gun-related business for that matter). Recently purchased this unit. I've been reloading for close to a decade, but only now advancing to annealing. There are plenty of these type machines to choose from on the market, and honestly I didn't really need the case prep features on the Burstfire since I already have a Lyman Express case prep center, but of all the annealers I evaluated this is the one that impressed me as the best bang for the buck (and it certainly doesn't hurt to have the extra spinners on top). Paying less than $300 (including shipping, which is not charged), the value is pretty outstanding. I bought straight from the company. This machine is not unnecessarily complex, works reliably, and operationally is highly efficient. The Burstfire works exactly as you see in the video, no hickups. It's built solidly (NOT made in China!) and weighs just shy of nine pounds without hose or gas nozzle attached. The wheels appear to be about 1 and 15/16 inches in diameter, it stands about 11 inches high and another 11 inches across the top (around 7.5 inches deep), and of course the nozzle placement/direction is fully adjustable, as is the rotational speed as you would expect. If you want you can certainly spend a lot more for an annealer, especially one of the induction types (the most popular one is currently selling for $1,495 -- yowser!), but for my money this does the job, does it well, will do all the brass a lot faster with less effort, and I still have plenty of cash left for either a very high quality rifle or equally high quality scope. To each their own, everyone makes their own choice and your mileage may vary, but the bottom line for me is I consider the Burstfire one of my better purchases and yes, I would absolutely make the same purchase again.

Is there an issue only annealing the brass from one side? Most other annealers have some method of rotating the brass, or using 2 flame sources, or inductive ring . It seems in the video the case is only introduced to the flame on one side. Yes I know brass is very conductive, however why do 99% of other annealers bother with trying to get universal coverage of the neck?

@@geeck41 the lower wheel rotates, effectively rotating the brass as well.

FYI Gen 1 speed controller has a receiver for remote built in. You can find the remote pretty cheap online.

How much can you put in the hopper area at a time?
@mikeriksheim1087

Does this work with shorter cartridges (300 blk, 6 Dasher, etc?). My Anealeez does not-- the shorter brass bases get hot enough to start melting the brass cutout in the lower wheel when getting the neck to annealing temp

Hi, it certainly does. Please watch these 2 videos below. Out aluminum wheels should be ready in about 2 weeks. It will be provided free of charge. At that point unless you put direct heat to it for an extended period of time, nothing will melt. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ctKAxIHdimc.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GDSGpHtSgog.html

Can you run a larger tank with a regulator? I'm interested but I'm wondering why your hose has a problem with larger tanks? Also, does the bottom wheel rotate at a fixed speed or does it change speed when the setting is changed?

Hi Eddie, if you want to run a 20lb tank, I do recommend using a high pressure propane regulator and hose. Although our hose is rated for 300 psi, the intended / recommended use is with the 1lb canisters.

Hello, My friend purchased your annealer and it is excellent… bravo!… great product. I have an EP2 which I am happy with but I really appreciate your hopper feed. One thing baffles me though… why incorporate a case prep into it?? Most people in the market for an annealer will already have a case prep unit. My friend will literally never use the case prep part of this annealer. Would it not be better to separate the case prep and sell it as another product?… you could expand to a 3 product line Annealer only Case prep only Annealer+ case prep Cheers

Hi. Thanks for your inquiry! Our goal has always been the same. To give customers their money’s worth. The best value without sacrificing quality. I would say many, if not most of our customers use both prep center and annealer, and see the value in having both while only paying for the price of one. We have also spoken to countless customers that tells us they ended up returning their recently purchased prep center, or selling their prep center on used market. The unit is $290. Think of the prep center as a FREE add-on. Use it not, it’s free 😉. No plans to offer them separately at this time.

Is there an attachment that you could recommend for trimming cases that will work with your machine?

Hi Joseph, there is. Here’s a link to it. This is the only trimmer I am aware of that can be attached to a prep center. leeprecision.com/threaded-cutter.html

What is the diameter of the wheels? I have seen a few of these types and they never mention how big the wheels need to be.

Check my other comment where I listed some of the Burstfire's dimensional and weight specifics, but the case wheels appear to be 1 and 15/16 inch diameter, so roughly two inches. Hope that helps.

You mentioned up to 30-06 in the video, what about even longer cases?
@burstfiregunsdotcom
@burstfiregunsdotcom Год назад
Hi Michael, the included standard and magnum wheel in the new gen 2 can accommodate short pistol cases and up to 338 lapua / 300 win mag length / diameter and cases. The only ones it does not accommodate at this time is 375/408 Cheytac and 50 bmg. We are working on releasing those wheels soon. Just need to free up machine time to get to it.

Unfortunately not at this time. We do have plans to release a new wheel to accommodate the 50bmg, but that’s another 3-4 months away

Is this place still in business? Has it ever really been in business? The website does not show a phone number. Doesn't show where the product is made. And, when you look for the business at the physical address shown, it's not this business. It's a UPS Store.
@burstfiregunsdotcom
@burstfiregunsdotcom 2 года назад
Why would we not be in business? We have shipped and continue to ship products to customers on a daily basis. You can go on any forum or social platform and find a happy customer using our products. We have a mailing address to handle mailing and returns, just like any normal business. We are an online store, not a physical retail store. It is not uncommon for small online retailers to not list their physical address or phone #, because we don’t offer walk in/will call, nor do we have a dedicated customer service rep to sit there and answer calls all day. All these are not uncommon for online retailers today. You initiated chat, emailed, and now on our RU-vid. I’m not sure quite sure what your intentions are.

@@burstfiregunsdotcom I replied yesterday but for some reason it didn't go through. I apologize if I offended you. I emailed you with a more detailed explanation so as not to get in to a big conversation here and distract from your product. It definitely appears to be a quality made machine compared to many of your competitors of a like kind machine. And reasonably priced vs some of the others that do less for 3 - 4 times the cost.
