The reason being is every time you work the brass it work hardens. So I preform them first from a 223/5.56 case with a oal of 1.370 then I anneal them. Then I full length resize to achieve proper neck tension and then do a final trim with my WFT to a case OAL of 1.360. This would be a new piece of brass ready for it's 1st firing. Once fire formed I anneal again and then only bump the shoulder back .003 My accuracy is amazing and the life of the brass lasts 10+ firings. Hope this makes sense 😉😁👍👊🇺🇸

So the answer is yes to the first part of the question you asked. The second question the way I adjust the Torch is I have the blue tip part of the flame about an inch long and the tip of that blue flame is going to be roughly 3/16 to 1/8 of an inch from were the shoulder and case neck meet. ​@jackwebb5917 Remember, there's a bit of a learning curve. When you first start anneeling your cases, so do yourself a favor and take 10 pieces of whatever brass/caliber you're using and make it a permanent test brass. That way, you can get your flame set up for the proper anneal of the case and the proper length of the flame. You can reuse those ten pieces of brass every time you set your machine up for that particular caliber. That way you're not wasting good brass if that makes sense. So in other words you're going to sacrifice ten pieces of every caliber brass you have for annealing.

@@JerrBearTactical Makes perfect sense! I’m setting up .223 now, and I’ve already decided that some sacrificial cases will be needed to get the right set up. I don’t know if you have a video on this, but for newbies to annealing like me, it would be awesome for a video that not only sets up the basic machine, but also walks us through how to get the proper setup

@jackwebb5917 There are many videos that are out there. I just sent you that link for the one that Desmond had done for that particular machine. If you do a search on youtube, how to anneel my rifle brass. I recommend you watch as many of those videos as you can because you will learn lots of tips and tricks. This will help you become efficient in the art of anneeling your brass. I wish I had the time to make some more of these like you suggested. I've been very, very busy at work working 7 days a week. It's been tough to put out any new content. But stay tuned. I will have some new content put out here eventually, and I will consider doing what you asked😁😉👍
