Nice upgrades. It’s truly a 2.0 product. I’m a bit jealous of new buyers, but as the 1.0 unit has done wonders for my brass prep I’ll try to stifle my jealousy. Besides that, I like the new Burstfire red color more than I thought I would. Here’s a nice kudo go pass along…I shared my experience with Burstfire 1.0 on another forum. Several different machines were mentioned, but one user owns the AMP annealer. He commented that if his costly AMP unit ever failed he would buy the Burstfire. Rich praise, indeed!
I am picking mine up next week. Does the manual indicate which speed I should set the dial to for a specific brass calibre so that I get proper annealing? I think the big expensive annealers are going to be upset with this cost effective product.
Hi Larry, the page 8 and 9 on the owners manual have instructions on how to set up your torch and anneal. Anneal time will be different with each case and caliber, due to different metal composition, thickness, etc. depends on the level of consistency you want to achieve, each Calibers, and even different headstamps of the same caliber may require different settings. Don’t hesitate to reach out via email or chat for further assistance 👍 Here’s the download link: drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1Udufwx0et3AvjG2Y65S2c1h9v-L2__Oh
I was hoping you were going to spin the bottom wheel independently of the top one when you did a 2.0. Then you would just have a time adjustment and not a different situation with the brass in the flame with every adjustment.
@rkelley8475 just need to tighten the screw down. A drop or two of Loctite will solve most of it. But if you want one that doesn’t move at all, new production ones are welded at the neck. We can provide a free set once available. ETA Nov or Dec. send us an email then to check on status. Thank you.
seems like on some of the videos of your machine, the spindles on the prep center have a lot of wobble, so much that the persons hand also wobbles, is that normal?
All prep centers have some wobble, but are all very minor/minimal. Most you can’t see unless you put something long like a brush or flash hole uniformer on it. But with shorter tools like chamfer/Debur tool, reamers, cleaners, etc, you cant tell or see it by looking at it, and your hand definitely should not wobble with it.
Hi John, they will work fine with the adapter in this video. check out this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3rwEAkRX3ZY.html This part is being released in 2-3 weeks, and it’s free for all existing customers redeemable through a unique coupon code. If you are in a hurry, we have a couple of the test models in shop we can include with your order.
They are rubber o rings, but will be replaced with silicone in the near future. They rotate perfectly, but it is important both the o ring and brass is free of lube. Some customers don’t realize their cleaning media are pre conditioned with polish. If that’s the case, simply anneal before cleaning.
