Which mod of the sherpa micro are you using. I can't seem to find the one with EACS and the extra holes near the top + the swing arm bit

I haven't seen a public repo for it, so can't share a link. Send me a private Discord message, and I will try to point you at it.

I thought the Fabreeko kit was all 24v fans?
@oldguymeltsplastic
@oldguymeltsplastic 7 месяцев назад
No, all three toolhead fans that came with my Fabreeko kit were 12V.

Interesting, just checked and all mine are 24v from Fabreeko's most recent batch. Maybe they mixed some 12v ones in. Love your build! Really beautiful colors.

@@Apophis-en9pi I don't know if the 12V fans have better performance, but I am running them on an Octopus Max EZ, so switching voltages is pretty easy. Thanks for watching!

@@Apophis-en9pi the voltage selection pads on the K3rabiner were already set for 12V, so I didn't have to mod it, which suits me just fine.

@@oldguymeltsplastic Yeah resoldering the pads was a pain. You're lucky haha.

what are advantages to have cnc party plate over printed one? looks like it's heavier.
@oldguymeltsplastic
@oldguymeltsplastic 8 месяцев назад
It's heavier, but less melty in case of a hotend issue.

No room on the toolboard for the filament sensor?? Or can you steal wires from the sensor plug??
@oldguymeltsplastic

The 4 pin Probe port on the K3rabiner is labeled with 5V, D+, D-, and GND. I guess intended to be a USB pass through port. That's what the Beacon probe needs, so makes sense. The filament sensor on this modified Sherpa Micro will need to be wired directly to the electronics bay through the braided sleeve of the umbilical.

@@oldguymeltsplastic Downsides and upsides to CANBUS connections vs a bunch of wires. A CAN board would have the pins for extra sensors but you can't pass through a USB connection. But also a CAN board will definitely lower the maximum temperature you can get your chamber too, I have like ~5°c or less before my toolboard MCU overheats at max chamber temperature I also have a BD Sensor on the way to try as that one doesn't work over USB compared to beacon

@@kiiiddd while I am a fan of CAN Bus myself, Annex Engineering aren't, so I am building this stock at first. Will see what kind of mods end up on it.

@@oldguymeltsplastic I would almost go the ACM panel route and see how high you can get the chamber temperature to get some super strong prints and/or work with high temp stuff like PEKK

@@kiiiddd spool of pekk costs more than the printer... 🤣
