This is a really cool format for posting a build of a rig that has been around for a little bit. Especially with the frequency you have been uploading. Thanks again for sharing Steph! Excited to hear about your final thoughts once it's done.
Thanks Art! I am about 10 hours into the assembly now. I am trying to record and share as much of the build as possible, but didn't want to upload several really long videos.
Maybe I haven't gotten far enough into the build yet, but I am strongly considering mounting the front door on the "side". The front door panel that comes with this kit has etched/lasered (?) words/art, so rotating or flipping it would just look weird.
@@oldguymeltsplastic Never looked at the build manual for the K3 but the design defiantly has a less of a definitive Front/rear/side for the gantry then say a Voron. It's probably the Bed kinematics that has more of a role determining the *Front of the machine
Annex Engineering doesn't do CAN Bus. I however, do. Going to build it stock first, and see how toasty the chamber gets before adding in any electronics
@@oldguymeltsplastic makes sense. I recently built my first Voron v0.2 / first Klipper firmware printer and people said "can bus not for beginners" but I saw your video abut CAN and I didn't see any difficulty there. I love the concept of CAN BUS in printers, I had to buy it. I had an LDO kit, but I bought BTT CAN U2C and EBB 36, and built with it instead of Picobilical, and man do I like it. It's like the single coolest thing about this printer right now in my opinion. Looking forward to build another high performance printer. Annex K3 caught my attention a few years back, I dreamed about it ever since.
