robbed from men using politicians. lol. Her CRISPR-cas9 was preceded three months by Virginijus Siksnys. CRISPR was discovered by Virginijus Siksnys and Yoshizumi Ishino. It was made to work in multicellular organisms by Feng Zheng, a very siginificant contribution. But super-PC Sweden would only recognize women, if they could have it.

S H it was not “robbed from men” however valid your point may be, its diluted by your idiotic take on how “PC-Sweden would only recognize women if they could have it.” For one, despite submitting it in April the paper wasn’t published until September due to issues with the publication editor, while Charpentier and Doudna’s was published 3 months prior. Also, despite similar findings the procedure in which they discovered that Cas9 could be use to target specific DNA sequences was different, so both groups made significant contributions. Seems like from your comment you only want men to receive the award .

What was that question on 17:45? Unbelievable. What in the world does it have to do with theology? Is this literally the first thing that you would ask two brilliant scientists who have made a huge contribution (a solid one) to this world? Kudos to Charpentier for dodging that professionally! Also kudos to the chairman Hansson for politely warning the journalist.

@@YouthAmphia the chemistry nobel prize has been given out almost each year since 1901 to 186 (!) people. Yet, only 7 (!) of them were women (unfortunate yet , common , inequality in our sociaty). that is the reason this is a great step forward for women in science and an amazing example for young aspiring girls.

I am every interested. May Allah give us success in curing of cancer and many other genetic disease.

The beginning of the end of the West. The CRISPR-cas9 was preceded three months by Virginijus Siksnys. But since her paper was written by women, she got a priority to publish. CRISPR was discovered by Virginijus Siksnys and Yoshizumi Ishino. It was made to work in multicellular organisms by Feng Zheng, a very siginificant contribution. But super-PC Sweden would only recognize women, if they could have it.
@danielajung6306
@danielajung6306 3 года назад
The reason they got the prize is because it wasn't until their discovery, that people knew the guide RNA of the CRISPR-cas9 system could be modified, and actually *used* in so many researches. It was these two women's discovery that revolutionized the field of genetic engineering, and if it werent for them, CRIPSR would not have made such a difference in science.
@rozalina6490
@rozalina6490 2 года назад
Calm down a little, you seem to be mixing things up, Casper was discovered a long time ago by the scientists you are talking about but had no practical use before these two scientists, we were able to discover the right technique for genetic modification and this is the real revolution in genetics, finding a discovery It is different from making it effective and beneficial to mankind The Nobel Prize is awarded for achievements that can be practically tested. That is why the theory of relativity did not receive the Nobel Prize, and that is why they both deservedly deserved the award, not because they are women or because they are from the West, but with full merit.
@mohammedaskar4268
@mohammedaskar4268 3 года назад
The evaluation is bias toward women! The goal is to select women for the award. While there are better researches done by men scientists! Watch the video at 15:48 press question!!! The answer is : This is the question we never answer!
@danielajung6306
@danielajung6306 3 года назад
The nobel prize has been given out since 1901 to 186 (!) people, yet only 7(!) of them are women (these stats are even worse in the physics prize). If there is bias here, it is torwards men. Not women.
@danielajung6306
@danielajung6306 3 года назад
And the reason why they were selected was cuz they were the ones to discover that the CRISPR-cas9 system, could be used on a specific DNA sequence, by showing that the guide RNA of the system could be modified. This discovery has made genetic engineering a lot easier, quicker, and cheaper, and truly opened a window for a whole new realm of science.
