@@SimianJimmysTreehouse Google podcast was a safe haven from all that censorship nonsense and it was free! I'm a bit ignorant on Spotify, I think they're free but only with ads. I think I'll install it just for the Jimmy occasion. Thanks for the advice
@@SimianJimmysTreehouse so first thing I hear when booting up your podcast is an advertisement for Amazon prime music. Now I'm wondering Is your podcast on Amazon prime? That way I can get ad free for a service that literally everyone uses
The problem isn't that we didn't want the indian trump documentary. The problem is that we didn't know what "Trump card" was because the poll is released before the episode. Which could probably be solved if the poll just had a short description of what the movies actually are. You can't expect the majority of voters to actually understand what we're voting for when we have nothing but the title of the movie. That being said, I don't care because I just need podcasts to listen to at work and the new system will probably be fine
as functionally correct you are, in that so many people are now so inclined to not do their own research, much less for the purposes of understanding what they're voting for, that doesn't entirely invalidate the facts that everyone who voted couldve very easily googled it first, and that TRUMP is in the title. like, how do you, as an american, see that, in the context of a poll for a piece of media to discuss, in the year of our gourd 2024, and not figure it at best is some complex metacommentary where there is no overt analog for trump himself, much like giant douche vs. turd sandwich both being so overtly dumb that you could easily make a case for either being a democrat or a republican candidate.
I don’t know why you’re surprised the audience picks bullshit, that’s part of the appeal. It’s more unique to cover Teen Titans Go See Space Jam than something like Breakfast Club. “Pain is temporary, film is forever”
Trump card would've been funny with Florian, tbh what are you gonna say about Clockwork orange that hasn't been said. This is unironically 10× more interesting than reviewing Stanley Kubrick or Christopher Nolan films that've been discussed over and over. Same reason why a Norbit review is funny, nobody is reviewing norbit in the current year but you guys.
Recommending two potential kino options: 1. An American Carol (2008) An appalling bad David Zucker film trying to parody Micheal Moore. Now he’s MICHEAL MALONE (played by Kevin Farley, Chris Farley’s unfunny but alive brother) and he’s out to abolish the 4th of July once and for all! Now only JFK, General Patton (played by Kelsey Grammar), and George Washington can save the day by telling him he’s responsible for 9/11. 2. Similar to the Mel Gibson voicemails, I think a great piece to review would be the 2007 Artie Lange and Howard Stern “Bro Fight”, which is commonly seen as the point of no return for their relationship. There’s an audio version on YT right now, but I can hook you up with a full filmed version if you want it. It’s basically feature length, around I think an hour and 20 minutes. You’d HAVE to have eggy on though since he’s the big depressing fat guy expert (much love to eggy!)
Cant disaageee with why the PCP ended, but I will keep this on replay on my alt and main accounts to make sure they suffer with every Annoying Orange ever
For the record, I voted for Paul Blart 2 solely for Blartposting, as well as the fact that you can watch it while playing Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon (no I’m not kidding)
I really like how even when he's subverting expectations by being principled enough to avoid tainting the sample size, you still make the effort to be entirely on brand.
4:53 you need to do the wings of fire graphic novel 5 reading next episode because it’s a kid who can’t speak that well reading a graphic novel with a camera pointed at his graphic novel in a way that makes it hard to follow.
I always voted for kino like "A clockwork orange" and "dragged across concrete" But its obvious the majority cant be trusted and will just pick garbage meme movies. I dont blame ya.
Bro what are they gon say about clockwork orange that hasn't been said 💀 Tbh its funnier when they review shit nobody reviews like norbit instead of movies that have been talked about over and over for 30 years
@justwhy7449 Because I'd like to hear what these particular people would say about it, particularly Mumkey, He has some good taste in media and I like his takes and the discussions around them. A movie like a clockwork orange would have had better discussion and humor given the contents of the movie then the annoying orange. I'm down for both, serious movies and funny stuff like the Power rangers movie or Norbit. But the audience didn't even pick a feature length film this time. Annoying Orange was less then 5 minutes, with so little content to talk about and so short that it made mumkey get rid of the polling and they discussed that more then the content the audience voted for
