@@paveantelic7876 You have to remember that racing cars are not designed for outright top speed.. handling is a massive part of their design as well, and as handling is (often) down to downforce, that introduces drag which hampers top speed. That and typically they are also geared more for acceleration as again, you'll rarely ever hit top speed on a track, but being fast at pulling away from a corner is more important! And if you choose acceleration over gearing, again, you sacrifice top speed :)

Dear Sreten, You are such a great guy! This type of video recording and editing makes it sooo much enjoyable. I've watched all your videos in less than two weeks right after I found your channel. I got kind of addicted to them...you know. I'am an E46 touring owner, that is how I found your videos, but every other project you did was a BIG bonus added to the Cologne series. Like the way you talk and how you make jokes, and you are doing everything in such a professional way! I can understand every single "seems to be unnecessary but I do it" service you make, and that special feeling what it gives! It could be felt even through youtube while I was watching your videos. I've done this for a couple of years in a much smaller scale on my own, but the fact that you spend a lot of energy and time to do it professionally and even share it with people is something that is really appreciated by many of us. Love your channel, and as a [retired] mechanic I also love your maintenance ethics, if you can call it that - so many people complaining about their "shitty" cars, but can't be bothered to do even the most basic maintenance on them. The E39 is my favorite M5, sadly some years ago I had an injury making me unable to drive a clutch so I've had to adjust to loving automatics, but the E39 is for me the pinnacle of M5's and I'll always consider it one of the best cars ever made! Great video!

Frankfurt is very weather-weird place, Two weeks ago, was there. Shiny weather about 16 degrees and then, from nowhere comes such a massive hailstorm. Glad I miss it without any damages on my car.

Snow won't make your car rust , it's the salt that's used in most places against the Snow/ice is the killer. Some places do use sand, not sure if it's mixed with salt or not though. Here they have this liquid stuff they spray down before the snow even starts in some places, highways is where they use them mostly. But they still use salt also.

Here is a random guy servicing some random internal combustion engine motor vehicles (which will soon be past century relics)...yet, every single minute of every single of the videos is thoroughly enjoyable. The way I see it, if you don't have an autobahn, it seems hardly justifiable to restore such masterpieces because you will never be able to do what these beauties are designed to do, which is to go at 300 km/h! What a beautiful car dude. My first BMW was a e39 528i. Together with my brother who is a mechanic we rebuild the engine and did some great upgrades. Same here in Canada. 140 km/h on the so called "highway" will get you a nice fat ticket from the police. 150 will get your car impounded. Then again, cars are often shitty here with only one safety certification at time of purchase (which can be faked).

I have the exact same car, 2002, same color and 140,000 miles. I bought it in 2006 with 40,000 miles on it. It is my keeper and the only problem is that I live in the US so no autobahns for me. The video gave me a vicarious thrill of what I could experience. The highest speed ticket I got was for 100mph and that's it. Thanks

Love it. The Autobahn is the best..! Once we where working in Zurich and we vomited our VIP into Germany 🇩🇪 via the autobahn. What a rush. 4 vehicles 260kph in convoy. Your E39 M5 is an awesome car, I would love a E60 M5 because of the V10. Keep doing what you man.

Sreten, you made me love old BMW even more than before. I wish every video maker had the same attention to detail as you have. Epic content, it's a tremendous joy seeing you enjoying your cars and getting dirty. Also, I think you would deserve a job as Top Gear host. Makes me smiles every time I hear you swear, it reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson. Which is a compliment (I know you know it is). E39 is a freaking good car. My dad has a 98 model 525 TDS, and a few years ago he bought a new car, a G30 540i 2018 model, he still thinks that the E39 feels better to drive, and the way you can rest your hand on the door etc. The new car is good, but the E39 is very good. 😜

Just so you know my wife doesn’t like you 😁 after driving BMW’s for quite some while now and MANY MANY MAAAANY other cars in between while always having an E30 that I’m wrenching on; today.. I chose violence and finally bought my 1st M car! I finally got a 2000 BMW E39 M5 so, thank you my good man! You and your channel were a turning point in my life as a BMW… lover? Customer? Amateur mechanic? I dont even know how to call myself, but THANK YOU 🙏 you should’ve been born earlier so you could influence me years ago, not in my early 40’s! That’s a nice car and good job with the maintenance. I m just working on a Dodge Durango that is full with sludge and buildup from lack of maintenance. Nice shout out for Sabine may she Rest In Peace.

I love your vids, was always skeptic about BMWs until I watched your videos and it did hit me that the earlier 90s were the best years when it came to BMWs. I would really want one if you were in my country! we would be fixing them together!! keep up the good work champ.
