1998 My son purchased a footlocker with matching numbers tray, all in great condition for $50.00 and for another $5.00 for a duffle bag with 5 of the steal pot/covers. One was beat up bad(maybe ran over) while the other four were in good condition.

what a great score! such a shame someone was just trying to throw it all away. glad the lady got before the trashman did. 57 is the hat size on the russia hat, it about size 7-7 1/8. i know bacause my euro hat size is 58 (7 1/4) lol dont know if the trunk is ww2, but i know they did have all that kind of hardware during ww2. but of course they used it post ww2 as well. anyway great stuff!

Very nice find. If I may ask and this may be an odd question. With the amount of deals you’ve gotten over the years, is it more southern hospitality? Up here in upstate ny, deals like this are few and far between, very dead set on pricing and what not. Just a thought, have a good day and keep hunting👍.

I have that same footlocker and there is a plate on the top that has the date but it looks like yours is missing but it is dated December 1945 and mine has the same info so that footlocker should be December 1945 so a little after the war.
