Unpopular Opinion: I think BOTH Pieck and Annie knew from the very start that they were being used by the Marleyans and did not care about a single person except their comrades. Annie generally doesn't care for humanity anyways which is why she's so cold but they were both FULLY aware that they were being used

A person is capable of transforming even upon grievous injury. However, if they’ve already been in titan form and then they get seriously injured their power is diverted to healing the body, and they won’t be able to transform again until their injury is fully healed and they’ve had time to recover.

Regarding how Eren could transform with no legs, remember his first transformation happened when he was missing an arm and a leg. Levi said in season 3 after ripping Zeke out of the beat that if you're regenerating INBWTWEEN transformations you have to wait until you're healed, but if you're injured before your first transformation of the day you don't need to wait.

They are prevented from transforming if their real body takes significant damage while they are in titan form. If in "normal" form any injury + the will to transform triggers it. As for why it works that way, my guess is that it's because Ymir was injured when she aquired the original titan power, so all the wielders of the nine have to be injured like she was in order to trigger it. Also, remember that episode in Solo Leveling with the father who wanted the convicts killed? The Jaegerists are basically that man but as a group. They want revenge and don't care what they have to do to get it, which is basically how the painter people started as well due to Germany's humiliation and having to take the blame for a war that wasn't their fault after the end of WW1. And now we have the Marleyans coming to avenge Liberio, an attack that would never have happened if they hadn't attacked Paradis. People are really bad at the whole "actions have consequences" thing, aren't they?

Of course he can transform ，remember the first time，he transformed after losing an arm and a leg. It shows you can transform as long as it is a fresh wound and you are not exhausted. If you get cut off legs and arms and get exhausted for a long time ,you cant transform.

Wenn man verletzt wird, kann man sich jederzeit, wann man will, verwandeln, egal wie sehr man verletzt ist (Bein ab), aber NACHDEM man verwandelt war und aus dem Titan raus kommt, kann man sich nicht direkt wieder verwandeln, wenn man verletzt ist/bleibt, deswegen hat Levi auch immer wieder Zeke's Beine und Arme abgehackt. Deswegen konnten Ymir und Eren sich damals auch nicht verwandeln, als sie von Rainer und Berthold gefangen genommen waren, weil sie noch nicht fertig geheilt waren.

19:42 yeeeeeesh, very hard to say that with how brutal this show is (plus doesn't inheriting memories also inherits trauma and ptsd? we've seen it, so becoming a sentient titan must exponentially increase your psychological shock, as well as restructuring your beliefs and perception of the world, causing immense existential confusion. I will agree that she was the one to be bombarded with the most in the least amount of time and quite aggressively, while other characters had their perceptions shattered little by little.

This is not the darkest anime. It is about wars and sins. The darkest anime is "made in abyss". It is much darker than aot.

If Eren could transform, it's because he cut his fingers before. And because the healing didn't begin. To create a titan, you need energy. But this energy is used by the healing, that's why you can't turn into a titan when you have very huge wounds. Basically, you can't turn into a titan when you heal. It used all the energy of the power to rebuild the body. It's all a question of energy. If Eren is abli to turn into a titan without limbs, it's because he has an incredible control on this energy. He just use it logically and with intelligence. That's why he is for now the strongest titan's shifter. But the thing is he has now the Warhammer. I think it will be difficult to control it, since it's new. One more time. I really thing you are wrong, saying Eren is not Eren anymore. He is not the Eren we knew, but he is Eren. Even if he has memories from centuries of others people. It's memories, not feelings. His feelings towards these memories are his feelings. Not anyone else. Memories can't control your feelings, nor your will, nor your thoughts. They are just knowledge and informations, that's all. It's the same experience as someone who will change of body and live in it for some times. Like a video games where all the characters's sensations are sent to you. When you play a video game, it's you who decide how to feel about what the player is living. For exemple, even if he had memories from his dad's sister death, his feelings toward this scene will come from himself and not from anyone else. It's his view on the world that build his feelings and emotions toward these memories. Since Eren is going against everyone's will from his memories. I don't see how it's possible he is controlled by past memories. And i agree he changed cause of that. But at the difference from the royal familly, he will not submit to the will of peace. All his actions are his actions and always were, even if he changed. People who witness and experienced these things will change. That's for sure. But the way you will change only depends of who you are. That's his personnality, that lead all of this. He just learned new things and became more experienced and wiser in a twisted way.

Pieck is very smart, but I think she's not even attempting to solve the grand picture problem. (You might even say that she's too smart for that, and that desire to be the savior, the one who solves the problems, is his undoing). I read it as "I can't save the world, but I can fulfill the duty of loyalty to my comrades." She's actually a bit like Levi, whose main motivation throughout the series is not some big-picture stuff, but fulfilling the duty he feels he owns his comrades, in particular giving meaning to their deaths (It's in the first major scene we have with Levi, him interacting with the dying scout). [ETA] And just to be clear, I don't mean she's suicidal. She does think Magath would be a good leader, and who knows what would happen. But it's fundamentally not on her to solve this issue. It's imo not that much of a surprise that Eren can transform with his legs bitten off. You need to be wounded to transform, and that is a wound. It's only if your body gets wounded while in titan form that you need to heal fully before you can transform again. (Levi gives this rule explicitly while talking to Zeke, but I guess it's easy to miss as it's just a quick line.

The transformation thing is more something of energy. During Season 2 eren could not transform while being kidnapped cause he was out of energy, his body only had enough to focus in healing. In season 1 Annie showed she could control how fast some parts of er body healed by focusing on them instead of all spread healing, so Eren must be in even more control of the energy now He is full of Energy in this scene, so the leg thing is not a big deal. If he had transformed at least twice tho, that would be anoter story

Hehe, ur mad because its 2 AM and you cant watch another episode. We was mad because we had to wait another year to continue from this cliff-hanger, for something which was called final season.

Not a very deep character as she's not central to the story so has to be engaging by other ways. Half season is done! How did you think the battle that's coming was going to be, Did you expect it to end that way? I lost my head about what's about to happen. How fare are you already? 4x25-28 or last episodes already?
