Another Crimper????? Don't Buy the Wrong One! 

I'm more of an electrical person so bikes are just a hobby for me. That said, I just used the non-insulated jaws of my Klein Tools 1005 which produces a ton of leverage...I think they have 9" handles. Might not look as pretty, but I'd trust that crimp over any tool where to crimping jaws have a predetermined size. Mostly because there is so much variances in cable and cable end thicknesses and diameters depending on where you buy them from. However, despite my love for Klein cutters, the cutters on the 1005 crimping tool are probably worse than the ones you demonstrated!

How about SRAM's "version" of Jagwire's cable crimper and cutter? Are they exactly the same product besides the different color of the handle? In quick look it seems there's some kind of a OEM partnership going on between those two, cause their cutters are identical. I'm curious are there any noticable difference between these two in their cutting power and durability etc.

Good comparison I must say a crimper is one tool I'd never get unless for a shop.

Hi Neut, Great channel, many thanks! I'd love a review of the Park EP-1. I'm often frustrated by crimps in awkward spots (e.g. dropper post levers) and end up using pliers that make a flat crimp, which can look less than professional.

With your expertise in tool marks, you should go work for the FBI and help them track down the Crimper Killer ;-)

Personally, I would say that this is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. There is no tension exerted on cable ends. In my opinion, with the Jagwire crimper, it looks like a botched Job.
