Charlie needs to bust out a map of LA while these are happening and he can start learning about all these different cities in SoCal with his chat. Make it an educational experience.
I feel like one of the reasons why LA has so many of these long car chases has to be due to how spread out the city is is and how many freeways they have because there is no way someone could drive around my city (or a lot of other cities) for an hour without getting caught in grid lock traffic lol

This shit happened right by my work. I work right off the 55 and I remember seeing a bunch of cops going that way and I was confused at wtf was going on
If damage is caused by fugitive, the public must sort it themselves or claim it on their insurance. They can attempt to sue the individual in a civil matter (if caught), but this rarely happens due to the lengthy process and legal costs which 'may' be awarded back to you, but not always. If the damage is caused by cop car, the usual rules apply about who is at fault, just like an ordinary accident. 👍

28:35 With those kids nearby, I think it's possible the cops would've opened fired. But only if there were no cars in the incoming lane and no kids in the crosswalk. They would have every right to do so. The guy had already shot at one officer in pursuit. And he could've opened up on those kids. He could've tried taking one hostage when he drove right up to them. In a way he was, since the police definitely couldn't shoot or even just move up to him with those kids so close.

They should seriously make this a sport in some legal way. Having some huge arena where a car gets chased or something. It would give us entertainment while providing these criminals with jobs. Hell that’d be the one sport I’d actually watch.

He seemed like a really good guy though all things considered. He stopped for the kids, and he only shot at the bad guys. The only shame is that he didn't hit any.
It's the one with the kids that did it for me. I knew nothing would happen to them because there was no TOS interruption on Charlie's stream but it was so unnerving to watch that crossing anyway

Pursuits like this with an active shooter should probably be handled via deployment of a Hellfire R9X, though of course getting a platform available to employ one isn't trivial
Actually some people can shoot from the helicopter. The military has courses where they shoot from a chopper into targets on land and at sea. It's possible just rare asf
It doesn't matter. He was completely incapacitated. The cops were just punching the shit out of him for pleasure. They had zero justification. After he was tackled to the ground and landed on his face after crashing into a pole at 40+mph, he was done for. But they like rolled him over to beat the shit out of him. You can bet they kept beating on him after he was arrested, too.

I've watched the one in Baltimore that Charlie mentioned at the end. If you watch it carefully, the wall itself doesn't collapse, it's the brick façade of the wall that collapses. This is why I don't like multi story buildings with brick façades. The taller a building is with brick the more likely it is to collapse when hit by a vehicle.
Funny thing is the Philippines police use the harpoon launcher outta the front of their cars. Impressive how ahead but behind some places are comparatively to the US and other first world countries.

you can see the cop break the axel of the passenger wheel and part of the axel goes flying and the wheel is off completly pulling the car into the opull and he pulls away just before collission to push the wheel away from the car and avaoiding the collition impact to the car perfect move
i’m thinking about how scared those kids must have been. they already must be so paranoid of shootings, so seeing the cops pull up behind him and maybe seeing that guys gun 😣 thank god he pulled off, he was def using those kids to make the police stop, knowing they wouldn’t actually shoot
why not go into a covered parking garage at the mall/movies/ect.? Call someone to pick you up, drive 20min to the destination, park underground, walk away get picked up right outside, swap clothes, get taken somewhere else full of people, get an uber and go.

Something to consider with the last arrest. You got a lot of police and people around, if one of the people has a warrant for their arrest or something and so happens to be there, then the police will get them. So that guy might have done nothing there and then but was already wanted
One thing you have to understand about California is that it’s a three strike state. If this is this guy’s third violent offense that he would be getting arrested for he is facing life in prison. So that’s why some of these guys are not just pulling over and giving up. They cannot get more time than a mandatory life sentence so why give up? Obviously if they cared about others they wouldn’t be a violent criminal so don’t even bother saying for the sake of others safety.

fyi, a machine gun is a heavier class of weapon than an assault rifle. they're generally mounted on a tripod or a vehicle, and have belt-fed ammunition or a drum magazine. the more you know.
my gpa used to street race in the 50s, back when running from the police was very feasable, and he did many times. wasnt much they could do against a drag racing car without all the tech we have now, he has so many stories of whooping the cops in a chase and getting away with it because no cameras
