True. It's actually really cool concept if you ask me. We can actually get a real time reaction of AI's that we interacted with. But yeah, i still it's still long time before we can see an actual game of this.
It'll definitely happen in my lifetime. Imagine skyrim or mass effect with a finished version of these npcs. Hopefully their actions can follow the same suit of talking to them. But that will be after chat is further completed.

I agree, definitely one of his better streams. I think it’s because he actually has to talk to play the game. In most other streams, he stares blankly at the screen and occasionally speaks. Mostly stuff like “hey thanks for the gift sub, mcnugget78.”
You know in most interrogation, people usually ask for alibis or eyewitness, Charlie here on the other hand preferred the method of gaslighting instead.

@@GuranPurin when charlie played it had no ending, it was broken and the AI's didnt tell the truth, its fixed now but still quite broken. I rather just talk to an AI online than mess with this game

i love how charlie is really invested in the game and figuring out who the murderers are at first but ends up just gaslighting every character into thinking thy're guilty in the end
2:14 this is the 2023 equivalent of that grandma using text to speech to text her daughter but she starts reading off her own text and she gets stuck in an endless loop
I like how that AI dancer girl has some pretty convincing emotional outbursts when it comes to the death of her friend. And is constantly offering to assist with the case (which if she was the killer would not benefit her in anyway), and even has an alibi which I'm pretty sure Charlie doesn't actually check. And yet he still insists on it being her and pretty much gaslights himself.
So, it’s actually pretty common for killers to assist in solving the murder cases of their victims. Through that they get to witness the victim’s family, make sure the fuzz isn’t getting close, and they get a thrill from being so close to the danger. There’s some good JCS{lite} videos about it.
Killers attempt to "help" cops on investigations of their own crimes all the time. A lot of them try to stay close and attempt to control the situation, and sometimes they even go as far as reporting the crime themselves thinking it would make them appear innocent.
I think this is such a great early access concept. We really are seeing the first bits of what AI-driven narrative game experiences could be, and it's very fucking cool. Biagio and Saxabar's AI was fantastic, I was laughing so hard during the idiom showdown

Regardless of its gamebreaking AI, these games get me crazy excited for open-world games in the future. I've always dreamed of games that auto-generate npc conversations around the stuff you do, like how the same guy who defeated a dragon killed farmer Joe's dogs and robbed their house.
It's even more hilarious to see Charlie trying to gaslight Biagio into admitting he's in love with Michelle/killing Nikola when you know he was in a relationship with Nikola. Pretty sure they changed his character quite a bit since this stream, though.

Not even that long. Probably 2 years from now we'll start seeing some crazy stuff. I have 7 more months of hindsight in AI development, so i can't judge you for that statement, but in 20 or 30 years who knows what kind of games could even exist.
There is honestly nothing funnier than Charlie being so certain he's correct when every guess has been based on him manipulating the AI into confessing to the crimes and saying Maria Janson's name wrong 90% of the time. 😂 I also have no idea why, but the conversation with the Chief when Charlie was trying to get him to start a meeting made me almost start crying laughing. "...His word, so give me your word and start the meeting RIGHT NOW". 😂😂
I agree. It was admittedly amusing how frustrated he was getting when he more or less kept telling every character "I saw you do it", so I can't say I'm surprised none of them ended up confessing. I think he should go back and pay more attention to the story.
i dont know what happened recently but youtube always plays long Charlie videos when i sleep. And this one in paprticular gave me a weird ass dream/nightmare. Granted, every dream of mine is really weird but Charlie's voice become my voice, and the AI voice become the evil villain, I was successfully convincing the villain to be friends by saying "friends buy [snack name in dream] for each other free of charge" , and I was saying please dont kill my friends when you come back and they act rude. they dont know you have changed (2 minutes earlier she was trying to kill all of us in a high speed train chase) then I woke up. To my surprises, the voice in my dream didnt disappear when i woke up, and it was coming out of my computer. Edit: it was this girl 52:45 when i woke up, but it could have been an amalgamation of voices from earlier

This game is super interesting and I'm curious to see how it'll continue to develop. I enjoy detective games a lot and the fact that Charlie keeps missing the fact that there's obviously occult/cult undertones is killing me. Especially when one of the motives is "for a ritual". At least one of them was murdered for that reason. But regardless, I love this video lmao
@@poorlydrawnlordsinister1849 heck no. It would be horribly buggy, they would kneecap the AI to prevent you from having too much fun, and it would somehow be aggressively monetised. At the very least it would sell your vocal patterns to AI companies to train their models better. There's no way something like this would be handled well.
@@agsheuehdIsn't that what the game's all about? You're given information, you sort it out, filter the truth from lies and solve the case using those information. I say it's a good design. Not just the game giving you all the correct information and guiding you to the answer.
