I truly don't know if I feel worse for these folks in the winter or in the summer. Your drinks and cooling towels have to be helping tremendously, thank you!

When I lived in Mesa for 11 years and had a job driving around the city I arrived with compassion. After a year of living there I was cured of it. Every homeless person I tried to help proved why I should not. I offered food and it was tossed away. The vast majority of homeless only want cash for drugs....period. They literally destroyed my compassion within a year. I watched a guy in a wheelchair jump out of it to accept a handout. I bought a person a great container of food since they held a sign that said "hungry, anything helps God Bless" and had him ask for cash instead while watching him toss a great meal in the trash. I saw a woman hold a sign asking for help because she ran out of gas in Phoenix trying to go the Tucson...for 3 years. I really wanted to help, but I was cured of that. I realize there are many people who need help, but the ones that cast aside my offering while walking back to their car have ruined all my faith. In my mind all panhandlers are just bottom tier cam artists. Never fall for the pity appearance.

It's so sad no one seems to care when someone is laying on the ground like that and they just drive on by. He definitely needs the cooling stuff in the heat ❤

Who would steal someone’s puppy? Shame on homeless. That’s heartbreaking. I pray that puppy is being taken care of. Whenever I see flyers for lost pets, I always wonder if homeless have them. But I wonder why when there are rewards, why homeless never turn them in for the money. You see police do sweeps of homeless and bicycles looking for stolen bikes but you never see police do sweeps of dogs looking for chips. You don’t want to take anyone’s pet away but I also worry about pets being taken care of in harsh elements

I love that there are others in the city handing things out and not just you. I never see anyone in my city but I know they must get something because there are consistent flyers and you see all the garbage from the day

You are so right Michael... ten years ago every passing vehicle would have called 911 on the man lying by the roadside .... but not today. I am relieved that Pima County & Tucson leaders are not going to get aggressive after the recent SCOTUS ruling
