Yeah really. It’s amazing how home runs is really the most glorified category and these get overlooked. I really think Albert will be remembered as just a strong hitter. His numbers go beyond just home runs.

Yep. Fans and players all got cheated out of the 2020 season... completely UNNECESSARILY I might add. But Albert was by far the one person who lost the most. Nothing we can do about that now, except... try to convince him to come back for one more year! :)

If Albert doesn’t play for the Angels he’s crushing 785 right now. If Trout didn’t he’s 1200+ OPS every season. If Ohtani didn’t he’s a 3 time Cy and MVP, and if Rendon didn’t he’d still exist….

I saw his first and get to see his last as a Cardinal. I barely followed what he was doing when he was in LA but I'm pretty sure he didn't have a season like this. And NO ONE expected it either. 12 in '22! He Yadi and Waino deserve another ring.

This is how good Pujols is at hitting HR" He has 302 at bat with 24 HR, Xavier bogaerts and JD Martinez have 500 plus at bat and both of them have 14 HR, Miguel Cabrera has 391 at bat and 5 HR, Just to mention 3 good players. Pujols is just amazing.

What I respect about Albert Pujols is the fact that he is leaving with his dignity. He leaves on top of the sport as one of the all time greats while still playing at a respectable level. To be honest, I personally believe he has it in him to go a few more years and still be a major contributor and a home run threat for the cardinals offense. He can very easily own that all time home run title. But the simple fact that he is not playing to his standards and deciding to retire despite being so close to breaking the all time home run record says so much about the kind of ball player he is. My respects to Albert Pujols for leaving on his own terms. What a all player!

I am more then lucky enough to be able to watch Pujols again in his prime, in his second stint with the Cards. Man this is SO much fun to watch i absolutely love it!

He really never should have left St Louis. He had a couple of good years in Los Angeles but basically it was one of the great wastes of money. But in St Louis, he is amazing and this year, he is not only taking a bow, he's also carrying the team and playing great baseball. Good for him. What a great finish to a great career. But he definitely should have stayed in St Louis

The fact he was ever left out of any All-Star game is an absolute shame on MLB’s part. One year they left him out for a reliever as the last pick. 🤦‍♂️

He will make an incredible “player/coach” like Manny Mota did for the Dodgers. I hope, if he’s interested anyway, that should he stay with baseball that he is utilized for many years. His knowledge and skill is unprecedented for his generation, and more importantly, a future generation of players. PHENOMENAL.
