I just found this and ordered it straight away! My cheap chinese oem powerbanks have held up really well over many years, but they just don't hold a charge the way they used to do anymore, and this M18 is way cheaper than buying several new ones. I have a spare 12Ah that won't really fit into any battery slot in my toolcases, so I'll probably use that for charging my phone. 😁

Highly recommended, had mine for just about a year. I've noticed that high output batteries will charge your devices wayyyyy faster than the regular XC or CP batteries.

I've been using mine for years it's my primary usb charger! on a 5.0 I can usually charge my Samsung phone 3 to 4 times. When I used the 12.0 it overheated the phone once so the auto shutoff kicked on. I think the 8.0 might be too much too. The 9.0 works great too.I hope they make a gen 2 with a belt clip which would be nice for the heated gear and greater mobility with my phone. And an additional usb for charging other devices headphones and headlamps simultaneously.

I absolutely love mine , however has anyone noticed that if you leave it on the battery in the on position....not charging anything....it will slowly drain the battery. When I ask the Milwaukee rep about it he said " look dumb ass...it's ok to leave it on a battery but just turn the switch to the off position ". Turned out he was right.

When on cold jobsites around -20 farenheit. And on sub zero fishing trips. I plan on using this to keep my m18 m12 batteries warm by wrapping like 9 batteries in a Milwaukee heated hoodie hooking up a m18 12.0 battery to it.placing them in a cooler to keep them from freezing.

I have one and it's VERY handy. Handy to keep your phone charged in an emergency. Also powered a raspberry pi computer, milwaukee jacket. Looking to try it out on a metal detector while in the field. Also, I need to check the output on the female power jack, if it's 12v out, I would feel better wiring up a connector as a vehicle "jump pack"

Does it have a voltage reducer to drop it down to the right voltage??? I thought usb ports put out something like 5.6 volts?

@@danielpeters2875 but the power no isn't doubled to compensate for splitting. Ideally they would release one with both USB A & C jacks, with QC. And like my hopes of my dream wife coming true, the ideal power source unit would be able to power USB C laptops as well.

I bought this here in Australia $46 Aussie the 5Ah batteries here are about 160 retail and being a DIYer by the time you have a few batteries for the sake of 50 ish bucks you can put those batteries to use as a charger or in my heated jacket which kind of justifies the expense of having an M18 because you’re expanding the options to use the batteries you already have anyway the USB position on the side is not too good it’s captive against the left-hand wall some of the USB plugs are quite thick and they don’t go in so I would suggest Milwaukee move the location of that if they can and also include a USB-C which is the way everything is going but you can’t have everything...! Long story short if you’re on the M18 platform buy this because it increases the range of use on the tools of already bought

I wish you could compare the Milwaukee branded unit to the $14 look-alikes you see on Ebay. They look like they come out of the same factory but the proof would be removing the four screws and taking a peak inside.

I've seen this at Home Depot and always wanted to know if it was any good I have my answer but that the DeWalt 60 volt Max batteries come with the red cap that protects B battery when storing I think that's a great idea so it doesn't damage the contacts on the battery😁👊🇺🇸
