I want that bike so bad. I have a Triumph Daytona 955i and I love everything about it. The sound the way it rides absolutely everything. That being said I’m older and want a more upright bike now. So either the one you have or the Scrambler. As a matter of fact I’m suppose to go look at one this weekend.

Have you been tempted to do the tec bike parts cam change yet? I looked into it out of curiosity and the gains seems really good for one part, also how's the ride quality with those tyres?

Prob won’t do the cams. They’re a fair wedge of cash and a fairly substantial job to swap them out for extra power I won’t use. I can see it being tempting for folks riding the bike a bit harder than I do in town tho. Ride quality on tyres: not great 😂

Hello, It's my first time with you so please be gentle. I love the fact you fitted the front mudguard, I personally think a bikes not dressed without one. I'm also looking to do a Triumph in the future, it has to be a modern one because I can't do kickstart only since getting ill, i must say I'm very surprised by the quality, or lack of in some of the factory part's. Very nice rad grill, i made one similar for an FZR, but in a "rising sun". You need a few custom parts just to make it your's, what ever it is, don't you think?

Hi Shaun! I think the overall quality is pretty good but the street twin is at the bottom of the range for triumph so it doesn’t quite have the finish of some of their other retro bikes. It’s more of a blank canvas for customising! Definitely agree that a few special parts can really make it feel like your own!

spend some money on new rear shocks .. I have Hagons on mine £200 a pair , I can now feel the road under the back wheel , they do some gas shocks at about £400. Replace the front disc with a floating one and the pads with EBC HH sintered pads , performance before looks in my book :-)

All in good time! I’ve got hagon shocks and springs but waiting for a free day to spend a few hours at the garage doing the springs. Also got the pads to fit too 👍😎

Nice new parts, I love the radiator guard. It's always going to be a bit of a gamble buying from Aliexpress but should be easy to get a refund if ever needed as it's China's version of Ebay. I just got some levers from them for under £20 seem nice quality and they are foldable and extendable witch is a nice touch, not fitted yet though, probably use your old video as reference to help me fit them.

Our ebay is just as much of a gamble, my poor bike needs to go to a workshop after the sump plug bolts head broke off without much pressure applied (got from ebay). My poor bike is now out of action until I can get it removed, hopefully pretty cheaply. It's a pretty easy job if you can get to it with a drill and a bolt extractor tool. I still can't believe it, I've done tons of oil changes over the years and tons of other jobs and never had this happen before. I might still upload the video, see how much hate I can get from the internet experts lol

Are you planning to do any performance mods, TEC Camshaft, brembo brakes etc?

I’ve heard the brembo mod from freespirit isn’t great cos the master cylinder is too small so the brakes become v squishy. Also prob not the TEC cams. But I’ve got shocks and springs from Hagon to be fitted, and I’m going to fit EBC HH brake pads too

How's the garage LEDs working out? Bike looks sick, time for meets and some shows! Btw any plans for exhaust?

Cheers mate. LEDs good - they work every time I go up there, although that's only once a week tops. I think you can get 10 hrs out of a full charge but I only have them on for a few hours at a time. They're decent in the day but I once dropped by there one evening and they are awesome at night. Could definitely work in there. No plans for exhaust - I love how the Vance and Hines sounds and I think X-pipe might make it too loud for day-to-day around town.

I used a 110/80 -18 and it fit. I can't confirm the sizes you mentioned because I haven't tried them

Continental TKC80s. They don't make an 18 inch for the front, so I used a rear tyre. As a result it doesn't handle great... but it looks cool! :)

Those are Continental TKC80s but I wouldn't recommend them - they wore out pretty quickly and the front went lumpy.

Seriously hard to get motorcycle insurance in London full stop. I used a few comparison engines and only found a few companies willing to cover me. Ended up going with Lexham as their prices seemed fair but I’ve no idea if they’re any good as I’ve not had to claim from them

Yeah once the TKCs are worn out (which, I may add, won’t be long because they’re way too soft for the road) then I’ll prob go for some sports touring tyres. Slightly limited for choice with the 18 inch front though. I believe Avon have something that might fit the bill
