I recently started trying to clear out old overgrown fence rows.
I wasn't getting anywhere and was getting sliced to ribbons by all the thorn brush.
I ended up going to BDS Equipment sales in Jesus, Iowa and bought the last model of tree / post puller that they had in stock.
This thing is amazing! Super heavy duty and very high quality steel construction.
Also in this video, I do a channel shout out to another You Tube channel called "The Bradleys On Catbird Hill".
You need to swing by and check out Johns channel. Give him a tip of the hat and tell him that I sent you over.

All of our ash trees have succumbed to the emerald ash borer and will need to be harvested most Ricky Ricky tic!

Thanks Ben We will be putting the tree/ post puller to use very shortly. Right now, I’m still busy with the grapple cleaning up tops from logging. John has an amazing channel. Really glad to have been following along with him and glad that so many of you fellow you tubers do as well. I hope this video helps him to get even more followers.

Hey Gary, nice way to get rid of some big timber. You won't regret buying a puller. Jenkins builds very tough attachments. I almost pulled the trigger on that one.

That is actually their little skidder. They are using it here because it is easier to get around in a heavily wooded area and do far less damage. The things that machine is capable of though… Oh boy!!! I think I got some pretty good video of it yesterday dragging out a massive elm that got hung up on a stump!

@@tractortalkwithgary1271 to be fair it boiled down to efficiency. Our forests here are clear cut because they mainly only have a few different species of commercial wood here in the boreal forest. So our forests are managed like how they used to burn (still do) with large areas. If it was selective logging, there would still be line skidder used. It’s all cut with feller bunchers, skidded, and processed cut to length at roadside. Looked after logging operations for 10 years before I went to farming full time.

Nice video, Gary. All of my ash trees are dead, too. I would love to have a post/tree puller, but I'd probably need a bigger tractor, too!! 🙂 I also have several trees that were damaged by the heavy snow a few weeks back. Some trees (snow-damaged and ash) are too close to the buildings to mess with. I'm calling in the pros for those. Looking at your fields in the videos, I can picture in my head the cattle grazing there in the past. It is saddening to see the farms here close down one by one.

How's she goin'? You're getting some serious wood there Gary!! Big logs. Enough wood in one of them to last ya a month or more!! The tree/post puller looks like a decent add for the Kubota!! Thanks Mike! The logs here featured are all walnut going to Germany to be made into furniture. We have now started on the dead ash trees that the emerald ash borer have killed. There is north of 200 of them to come out of our woods. There will be semi load after semi load leaving out of here tomorrow. Thanks for watching Mike. Always love it when you stop by.

Thanks Luc. Yes, those were all walnut. They wanted the walnut first as the buyer was here over the weekend. These are going to Germany for making furniture.

I don’t have one either Ross. I simply run hoses to my remotes and operate the grapple with 2 levers. The loader control level for up and down and tilt, and the hydraulic control lever to open and close the grapple. Phil did a pretty good video on his install of the 3rd function on his L3301, if you haven’t seen that. It was far cheaper to go the route that I did. You get a little busy once in a while , but what else have I got to do? 😄
