that's a trouble with plumbing al you never know what you going to a cross or job of 5 minute could take 3 hour nice to see you al stay safe.

Hello Derek I hope you can help me. I repressured my ideal Logic 30 boiler to 1 and afterwards have no hot water coming through all taps. Do you know what I’ve done wrong. I don’t want to call a plumber on Sunday. Thank you 🙏 so much appreciated June x

I had the opposite a few years ago, started running a bath, then found I couldn't turn the hot tap off, just wouldn't budge!

I turned my oil boiler off because I couldn't afford heating oil. I now have the boiler going again but no hot water comes out of the tap. I live in Denmark where there is a lot of limescale in the water. Any ideas?

I hate those old ballofix valves. That one you have in your hand; you can actually unscrew the nut and connector with integral o ring. Unlike modern ones thay are not one part, cast The worst ones are those with a tiny, tiny, tiniest slot for isolation. They can easily break and water fine mists out. Been there, done it and bought the wet tee shirt. I just don't go anywhere near them at all . Isolate somewhere else. Mains stop or water authority mains, or even drain down the tank if it's on gravity.

These isolation valves open with an allen key, don't waste your time with a flat head screwdriver.
