Welcome to the M14, stripped my gearbox 9 times to get it working the way I wanted to. At the end of the day I changed the Cylinder to a full Cylinder, Alu nozzle and a m130 spring, madbull 70c bucking. She's on 1.81J on 0.3's and locked on semi for a "DMR" role. They really full of shit when it comes to upgrades hahaha
I always like the idea of building myself an M14, then I look at all the bits on your workbench, the time & effort you put into it & think.... yeeeah...no. 😂👍
I watch all your vids and you just gotta respect the knowledge and skills being laid down here on each build. Let alone the patience required. And all delivered straighter than a prommy barrel! Love it. Absolute tops! 👍😊

You know luke is a stand up guy when he sacrifices guns from his own collection to help out a customer. Fortunately in this case both guns ended up being perfectly functional.

first ever rifle was a TM M14. Always love to go back to it - used it till it died the death of the old gods. Do you have a sort of guide on where best to buy, upgrade (through you of course) and what parts to change out?
I have a mix of M14 stuff. I first biught a Boneyard box with most of an M14 sport or EBR. Ive bought some other stuff including a cheap Echo1 stock. The stock was purchased with intent on modifying it. I didnt want to spend $100 or more on a nice stock just to chop bits up and modify it. Im wanting to gear mine towards Battle rifle to hop .28. due to fiels restrictions i cant use full auto. So single and burst are my options.
I am in the middle of converting one into a A ream style mini 14 with folding stock .i know the action is to big but closest i can get in a aeg .just got the stock to finish and its done . Pitty marui never made an official one but i guess they never will now .
I have one of these, bought it for $50 from a friend. It fires around 250fps at most, plus the first shot always shoots at about 40fps. Question is should i bother with trying to get it shooting at least 350 or just let it be a whack backup?
What piston would u use in the JG would? Would this be appropriate to use a 1/2 rack to get out of the way? I have a JG m14 but none of my pistons work because the step gear teeth get in the way of everything other than a plastic, piston which is what I went with.
Okay so you can remove the plastic. I wasn’t sure if that would compromise the integrity of the rails that hold the rack. Thank you! I will say I had an HPA redline in a G&G top tech body that suffered from some fps drop with a prommy in it.
@@NegativeAirsoftTech with lapping barrels you need less and less hop pressure the finer the diamond paste you use, which can become an issue for guns that load violently. I imagine this can change power, since I don't see how a rough barrel wouldn't do that. Could also just be whatever bumps/waves inside the thing. Or the thing has weird bucking depth because of weird ass chamber clip groove specs
Promy quality has gone down. I still have older promy that work fine but the newer the tech i gonto won't use them until improvements have been done to them. Their are now trying tightbore brass barrels now. So inam keeping my old ones and just looking for ZCI and cyma barrels and ZCI hopups and the promy vfc hopup. Cause i won't use current generation maxx ever. They are scrap now.
