I've said it before, and I'll say it again: For a hobby that relies on honesty and sportsmanship to work, Airsoft attracts a huge number of nasty pieces of shit.
Had a guy change ammo types at my field from .4s to a really heavy ceramic bb or something. He eventually got spot crooned and banned permanently from the field. The guy completely shattered a holo sight i had from about 60 yards away. The length people go through to be a prick is ridiculous.
24:52 It's Luke from the top rope with the steel chair "Told you I could knock him out" Your final point can really be summed up by that old saying "the worst thing about airsoft is airsofters" My worry with people abusing HPA is what happens when the worst happens and someone is seriously injured to the point where the police are involved. If they take a HPA gun to test to see how much damage it could do will they test it as is or crank the regulator up to see what it's highest potential is. All it would take is one politician wanting to score points with the press/public to say something like "these realistic guns can fire so powerfully that they can cause serious harm and we should ban them" and then airsoft is gone with no coming back.
It’s what I’ve thought of for a long time. One incident - just one - and the hobby is gone. We nearly lost it once before, but both parties (the government and airsofters) managed a compromise with the VCRA.

If about 1 in 50 airsofters - regardless of gun - were invited to go home and not come back again, the experience for the other 49 would be so much better. But so many site-runners and marshals collectively punish with prohibitions, pointless lectures, or generalised yelling in game, rather than identifying, confronting and dealing with the very few unfixable problem players. Professional door staff make the best marshals, burn my patch IRL over it.
I do think you are right that it’s not the system but the play style. The day after watching this I went to my regular site where use of HPA has been steadily growing. No one was grossly overpowered, no one had grossly inflated ROF and everyone played respectfully. Didn’t notice the issue. Contrast previous weeks with the part time marshal no less standing in full view at the back of the field out of range of everyone else spamming all the rental players with his HPA’d LMG laughing his head off and boasting of how many he’d got.
I run HPA. I use .30g bb's I run them at 280fps I have the trigger set about half the pull of a stock aeg. I have full auto set at 18 rps. But 99% of the time im in semi sending 2-3 bb's at a time. Unless theres someone who needs to be peppered to call a hit (we all have met them) or accuracy by volume at long range. I like it because, the trigger response, its accurate and damn near silent with a supressor attached and its never going to eat its own internals at at given moment...😄 You dont have to be a dick with it, but i agree its extremely easy to do so. Its just a shame so many people choose to do so...
Binary is the airsoft triggers in my book are the equivalent of those bump stocks on real firearms that had all kinds of controversy in the US back when “oh it’s not a full auto, it’s semi only and can’t shoot full” attach bump stock semi auto firearm goes brrrrrrrr
I'm in the US, but the people I know who have met you all said you're a really nice guy. As you've said, people forget that a difference of opinion is just that - it doesn't mean you're a bad person.
The Systema PTW will always be around. It died many years ago, but there are still people doing new motors and such. Also a few company's have gotten into the "planetary"/split design. Even thought the name is irrelevant now......the tech is always evolving
@@MGlBlaze depends on how its done there is a field I go to that does not chrono BUT if you're caught shooting hot you are perma banned forever no second chances. There are plenty of refs to catch you mid game, hpas are zip tied.
As long as the mag has BBs already under tension in the feed tube of the mag and does not need to pick up any more BBs, you most certainly can wind them upside down.
@@PhilRiphagen got no idea, maybe. One thing I have done (more then ones with my gun) when playing cqb or within about 10m from enemy is turn hole gun upside down. Was pushing a flank laying down some BBs and heard the high cap spring unwind (out of BBs) flipped that bad boy over and got 3 or so of them out.
Home team clans was another bugbear of mine,the games were just un winnable so I just didn’t play that venue,but other venues run by the same company were top games.

I like both aeg and hpa, particularly building them. I get the bad rep for hpa , fire rate trough the roof , trigger spamming etc. Good sportsmanship starts with oneself . I run a hpa cyma mp5sd : 1 joule @ 0.3gr , 13 rps and a small delay in semi so I can't semi spam the shit out of another player. Its easy to setup , and to me much more fun to play with. The only advantages hpa give me are consistency ( cuz I'm still learning aeg tech) and with a good supressor almost completely silent.
you're right in it being a player problem primarily. how many sites do people play at these days - especially outdoors where AEG users in multicam are camping their full auto switch all day? i get overshot more by them than your average semi auto spamming HPA user in the past couple of years to be honest. for what its worth and im sure you yourself know you're able to limit semi rate of fire using polarstars FCU and wolverine have it built in by default, and these are things that should be checked and enforced at chrono alongside RPS limits for anything that is full auto in my opinion. shuts that shit down instantly. blanket rules for a blanket problem, and this is an issue largely perpetuated by how lazy a lot of site staff are alongside an unwillingness to change alongside shifts the hobby is going through. i don't see it as being much different to the idiots that still chrono on .2s because they cant be bothered to read a chart
@@NegativeAirsoftTech just to add onto this as well as an ex paintballer, that side of the industry went through the exact same thing with stuff like loaders slowly being able to feed extremely fast, ramping semi auto "cheater boards" that could hit some dumb shit like 30 a second in semi and speedballers playing at pick up games with 2 grand guns vs people with mag feds or tippman98s eventually people decided enough was enough, and site owners ended up taking matters into their own hands after it was proven for years that people are going to be dumb twats by introducing hard ball per second limits and limits on the amount of ammo you're allowed to hold on you hopefully the same happens for airsoft lol
They are good for semi and the one I built for my brother I found out that they don’t like to be a hair trigger. He is the opposite hPa user to what luck is talking about we will play a 40 min game with 30-40 player and he might go through 200-300 BBs and there me laying down covering fire all the time at nothing with my aeg going through 1000+ BBs in the same game 😂
Sitting here, listening to this, while drinking some sort of Honey & Elderflower wheat beer.... .... a somewhat pretentious alcoholic beverage I admit but a satisfying accompaniment to a satisfying video. --- I like what you said about the people breaking the rules and shit --- playing a game is a two way contract where you agree to certain limitations to make things allegedly 'fun' and being 'fun' means accepting the reality that loosing is almost certain. Truth be told, I've watched enough airsoft videos on youtube that it doesn't exactly look like fun . I'm also too damned tall, fat and waddly to play on a field so we just plink with overshiny baubles in the garden. They would probably break if we tried to field them. Or make us look like idiots for spending *that much* on a replica and not even getting a single hit on target. The replicas are amusing to play with.
I stopped going to a local airsoft CQB site due to these HPA binary cheaters spamming in front of a Marshall and destroyed a squad in 1 second, yet when we said to the Marshall why is thst allowed... We were told it's semi auto! This is CQB semi only for a reason...
I run hpa on my LMG. I have a habit of playing my role as a squad support gunner so I am hard on my gear. I used to run into failures often in aeg trim. I run hpa now but, but I set my fcu to 5 round burst and 25 rps. I want my opponents to be able to compete at a level that will allow them make me try to be better. My job is to keep heads down to allow my squad to move. My job is to protect my guys. I could be a bell end and run up to my sites limit of 35 rps and 10 rnd burst but that's not fun for me. My m4 is aeg and is semi only. I have set my LMG up as a sniper which is actually fun🤣😂
FInally sites realised that players who use HPA tend to break rules, I'm not saying its majority of them but there is always bad apples in a bunch who think they will get away with it by increasing their hpa power and dont care if they injure someone.
i use hpa sometimes , would be fine with a crono before game and after , they could write down the fps and see if its the same through the day if there is a change through the day then questions should be asked
As a user of GBB and HPA. Banning HPA solves nothing. There is a lot of problems in Airsoft at the moment. The problem is a HPA build is far easy than a DSG build. I've seen plenty of "wanker builds" that don't have a hose. It's a player issues and they should be dealt with accordingly. Individual being a dickhead = banned for being a dickhead Not happens to run a system the site has a biased towards = not welcome As a lot of sites are going this way and it's making them unapproachable.
I wonder if HPA fed GBBs with AEG mags are still allowed since they are as unreliable and janky as regular GBBs with minor advantages of no freezing and normal mag sizes

That whole HPA argument got me thinking something. If the problem with HPA users is that they spam the trigger, wouldnt that still be applicable to anyone with a well-tuned SSG/DSG AEG gun? Yes, it's 100% applicable. But now DSG users are less thsn 1% of the average player base & HPA eclipses that... The HPA attitude & gameplay makes the old-school dsg users look like saints.. Ooooo..... that's a bad taste in my mouth.
@@NegativeAirsoftTech and you are right, it is 100% way better for someone to be a dick with HPA than DSG since HPA is inherently more reliable than AEGs and GBBRs, but keep in mind a potential issue that arise if HPA were to be banned completely. Airsoft is evolving and field sites dont play catch up unless problems arise. We now have mosfets and gadgetry that are all completely controlled by bluetooth/phone apps that cannot be dealt with, and then there are GBBR users that can either carry two separate bolts to dodge the chrono or just adjust their nozzles if they installed an adjustable nozzle and there's no way of locking that out. Yes despite the attempts of locking HPA stuff and they still try to access their nobs and turns the cunt power to 11, there is at least a barrier in a sense. With AEGs its getting harder and with GBBRs its impossible. I had one incident down in my local outdoor field where someone was somehow sniping people at an insane rate and we all thought he was great. Then some arguments happened between the sniper and some other kid and the ref caught them by surprise and chrono'd the sniper and it turned out his GBBR was doing 2.3J in a 1.5J field limit. This is impossible to detect on-site unless they were caught. If you're gonna ban guns, expect more stabbing because that's where these pricks will move to. Same thing with airsoft, if you ban HPA, guess where those pricks are gonna move to? the containment has been broken and now you got an even bigger issue at hand. Edit note cuz I forgot something: The most popular of these "AIRSOFT CHEATER EXPOSED" and these kinds of wanky videos are all DSG users. 99% of them. Barely any of them have the youtuber use HPA. @@mustafariyad4875you can beat the gbbr cheating by swapping a bolt really trivially Zip tie that prevents opening the gun. There's ways to deal with that sort of thing and it's the same technique as QCS aegs. That and bans on taking tools into the field. The problem with HPA is that it's so much easier to get a gun with ridiculous/abusive performance. It's so much easier to set the gun up to take the piss. App controlled aegs you can't change the power, you can't push it beyond the limits by changing settings in the app. That's not in any way comparable Gas guns are always going to be an issue because of temperature changes during the day but you need to enforce a culture of rechronoing it at lunch.
@@jediknight1294 I mean maybe ziptie certain M4 GBBRs, but keep in mind almost every GBBR are built differently and all you need is an allen key to adjust nozzle power. You dont "need" tools, its all stuff you can keep in your pistol grip.

Same way I checked the systema crowd for spare cylinder setups. As for the NPAS adjustment thing, you know you've been able to do that with an AEG since about 2006 right? Power adjustment by adjusting a screw in the piston. They were a huge thing for a while. One big problem with the fast change power stuff is it's always been an arms race. You look at how they cheat and write a rule to try and catch it, tool bans, the way we ziptie guns, tournament locks, Chronoing on the weight you're using. Whatever cheating technique people use we end up having to write reactive rules to counteract. NPAS for gbb is always going to be needed because of temperature changes, that's just a safety requirement. Though you don't tend to see massive fluctuation. Between a fully open and a fully closed NPAS. Everything iv ever had has been around a 40 to 60fps variance. To do real power changes you need to swap gas. (which IS something a lot of players are shit at considering needing to rechrono.). One of the major problems with HPA is it took years to get people to grasp that there was an issue with Joule Creep. When the p* first dropped the guidance was 'whack the dwell time to max, tune the pressure to do bang on the limit on 0.2s and then stick 0.4 in and you'll out range everyone.' it took YEARS to get people to grasp that they were shooting well over site limits doing that. That attitude really didn't endear the HPA system to people. Outright denial that physics works the way it does. So for a long time (until it was proved to reddit satisfaction.) a good 80% of HPA users were shooting over the limit and squeeing about how awesome hpa was/is and how AEG/gbb is shit. That caused a lot of bad blood, then we got binary and the 50 and 60rps setups. Which made things even worse. One huge issue is that like the systema crowd, a highly visible group have done very visually obvious cheating. Think of your local site, you can name names and predict who on site is going to gravitate to the latest cheating kit. Hpa just made it very easy to do and it has been very accessible. In a way that the systema weren't (and things like the ctw and the katana weren't reliable enough to be an easy I win button in the same way a DSG just isn't reliable enough to be tarquin's cheating machine because they eat the gears constantly.). Hpa is just turn key and is by the nature of the system something you can give to pretty much anyone and it will be something they can cheat and the industry is already creating means of bypassing the restrictions we write.
Maybe sites and Marshall’s should be better at applying the rules and monitoring and dealing with problem players. Just because it can be abused doesn’t mean it is being abused.
@@johnsmith42 level2 in Manchester for one. Two shots then a two second pause then max two shots again (repeat over and over). It works well and keeps Hpa wankers, speedy boys and AEG cnuts in line. You don’t stick to the rules and you are gone. They also run Hpa setups 30 FPS lower than AEG equivalent to try to avoid any creep on the first shot of a Hpa caused by the Rev.
Im not a cunt with hpa. In fact i typically hpa guns that are a horrible design like the svd. I just run my aks74u (which i only hpa'd always has problems and i just got tired of it) at 1.15j on whatever i can hop outdoors and 1 j in cqb because thats the restiction i have on .25's. the svd as an aeg is slow as shit. You cant get good trigger response. Yes you cam put a perun ab++ in and use precocking but its still going to be slower than a regular ass aeg and no you cant use a warhead. you know you can polish a turd but its still a turd. If i want to throw realy heavy ammo out of a sr25 ill just figure something out and leave it as a aeg. Theres a couple ways to make it work without getting the vaccum effect. The only other argument for hpa is its cold and that the lazy way of making it work 100% if you set up your gun in a certain way you can ise a gbbr in the winter and youvalsobwant heavy ammo so you can joule creep it. For sude arms injust use anyting can reliably run co2.

that site banning HPA is extreme, like people who own HPA are the "wealthy customer" type, and you want them as a field. I can imagine they must have caused immense amount of trouble, for this to happen. I dont like HPA, beacuse when i see a hi capa with a hose and a 5.56 AR mag i just have to puke, and spamming makes games unfun, BUT i fully believe, that its a player issue not a platform issue because ive seen just as many AEG users walk like the fuckin terminator, unphased by 5 people raining bullets on them. You should be innocent untill proven guilty, implement a firm 3 strikes policy, if you have to pull out a player the 4th time to tell him to play responsibly, they go on a blacklist and thats it, they go home. But banning HPA as a system will not fix the issue because then the people who use it will never have the opportunity to become "good players", they will alienate further and make this divide worse.
My entire RIF collection is now HPA bar one springer bolt action rifle but I can't disagree with anything you say about HPA wankers. Personally I love the consistency, convenience and simplicity of HPA rifs but the other side of that coin is the ease for wankers to take the piss and turn up the regulator or spam the trigger. Maybe I'm a HPA wanker too but I'd like to think I'm one of the good ones 😂

What was the reason airsoft guns were made? For realism I thought, hpa is not realistic. The hose looks stupid as shit and speedsofteers make there guns look like shit. They look like paintball guns which is the opposite of airsoft guns.
