I first came across this album by Anri 40 years ago and have been listening to it ever since. It was produced by Toshiki Kadomatsu, who is still active today. Tomohito Aoki, a bassist whom I respect, plays on it.
This is one of my favorite songs. Sometimes city pop songs are good to listen to in the middle of the night and sometimes on sunny days like this one. I love you TDotBebop. I hope you can also review Cindy's Watashitachi Wo Shinjite Ite later.
@tdotbebop if you react to this song, i suggest you should watch the englisch lyrics aswell. This song is deep. There's a RU-vidr called Reidhaha who got good lyrics for citypop.
Yes mate! This album is amazing top to bottom, and this track is the perfect summer track. Just when you think it doesn’t get better the sax kicks in and takes it to another level. Also can I recommend you listen to Toshiki Kadomatsu Sea Line or 52nd Street?
For the one who wanna discovering Japan City Pop, this is THE album to 😊 A classic Anri repertoire, sing many Times on her Set list concert. The solo trumpet is cool, rare on City Pop song. U wanna feell Summer ? This tune is made for 💖
"Anri has a favourite season." Had to laugh at that ! Hahahaha ! The brass in this is just delicious. Of course, impeccable bass. Then again, given this is a Toshiki Kadomatsu composition, should we be surprised? Lovely choice here !
You should react to more of Meiko Nakaharas songs! You’re my scorpion and Go Away are really good. It’s crazy that she composes and writes her own songs
