Ansem's Heartless Research - Kingdom Hearts Explained 

I wonder if Ansem ever found out about Master Xehanort and that his young apprentice was actually an old man and Keyblade Master even older than he was.

Poor Ansem. One psychological experiment on Xehanort's hidden memories wound up reigniting one man's insane curiosity and opened up a can of apocalypse for countless worlds. I know it's Xehanort himself that's to blame for his own actions, but I can understand how Ansem would feel guilty over something like that.

The fact that if a person becomes a Heartless willingly, that they retain their sense of self opens up so many doors. If a person knew about this fact, they could make a plan to become a Heartless and a Nobody, and do things that they could not do as one person. Now, if you add in the fact that a person becomes whole again if both the Heartless and Nobody are destroyed, and if the person in question was a Keyblader, and supposedly that the Nobody (or/and the Heartless) somehow can still wield a Keyblade, THEN you have the recipe for someone to have a way to switch between being whole and split into two being as an ability.

At least Ansem felt bad afterward. I couldn't bear to think of him as a bad guy in any capacity. It also probably rules out how Ienzo's parents died. While that would have been dark, Ansem wouldn't have been able to look at the kid without feeling guilty.

Bur Xehanort already knew about the world hearts, as the Kingdom Hearts he summoned in BBS was culled from the hearts of various worlds. Oh, right. Memory loss. Never mind.

I have actually just recently gotten into kingdom hearts and this channel has actually helped me understand some parts that I have been unsure of! Nice work HMK

Xemnas said in DDD that the experiments that lead to the creation of the Heartless were attempts to control a person`s mind and renounce it`s sense of self. Yet when Apprentice Xehanort gave up his body willingly, he retained his sense of self while becoming a Heartless. I`m just wondering how these two things fit together and how the `sense of self` fits into the Heart, Body, Mind and Soul make-up of a person.

i swear the heartless are just like the titans: they devour the living even though they can live just fine without them.

Great video! I finally have some answers about the Heartless

remeber in kingdom hearts 1 when it was only 1 ansem to blame for the heartless now theres 2 but one just came across them though "random experimentation with peoples hearts" will the other did so out of a pursuit of knowledge at the cost of others cough... cough.....Xehanort.....cough but both are pretty nefarious, but at least ansem the wise is sorry.

What if the reason Kairi left Radiant Garden (Hollow Bastion) when she was young and went to Destiny Islands was because Xehanort took her from her grandmother to use as a living sample to test heartless? She got away, however, because Ansem the Wise rescued her and he took her back to her grandmother. However, Kairi was traumatized so Ansem somehow erased her memory and advised her grandmother to send her away so she wouldn't be found by Xehanort and wouldn't remember those horrible memories. So, her grandmother sent her to Destiny Islands and that's why Kair can't remember anything of her old home.

HMK I'm a little lost if purbred heartless are made by humans and emblems were created by humans thanks to a machine than is that machine still out there creating the emblems or what? It's just a little confusing thinking about it I mean if there's a machine creating heartless artificially than why haven't Sora, Donald, and Goofy destroyed this machine especially if they have read all the Ansem reports (assuming they have read them of course).
