Clare, I lost my phone so I'm a bit late, but I am SO glad you talked about your sexuality. It made me feel really good about myself. I am bisexual but I didn't realise it until around 6 the grade. In the 5th grade, I knew homosexuality was a thing, but not so much bisexuality. I also grew up around an extremely homophobic family. In the 5th grade, I thought something was wrong with me because I had the biggest crush on my classmate (who was a girl) but I also had liked many guys before, and didn't really think that was acceptable. The point is, you talking about this has made me feel a bit better about my sexuality. You are an absolute icon, love you Clare! ❤️💕❤️

That talk about sexuality was almost EXACTLY my experience but I was lucky to have two bi best friends in my first year of high school that made me feel comfortable with my sexuality, I use the term Pan but I’m currently not sure if that’s the word I want to use exactly anymore, but I don’t feel any different about anyone regardless of gender :)

I'm bi and I've had the same fear of hugging and being close to girls. I always thought it was just my insecurities, but when I realised I was bi and looked back on everything it all started to make sense. I still remember moments every now and then and realise they happened because I was bi without knowing.

this almost made me cry when you were talking about your sexuality and how you were always nervous girls would think you were flirting and that fear usually stems from internalized homophobia because I've definitely experienced that and hearing you talk about that was like a whole light bulb moment of like flashbacks to when I was younger. I'm bi, which I've known pretty much forever but leaning into it was a very gradual thing of "yeah girls are pretty but I'll probably only ever date a man" and then "well maybe I'd date a girl but I could never marry one, I'd have to marry a man" and now that I've had a boyfriend and 5 years of art school in me I'm SO BI and I just don't care if anyone knows, in fact I'm to a point where I'm almost offended if someone assumes I'm straight. Clare, it truly doesn’t matter if you’ve just been in relationships with men. If you’re attracted to women too, you’re absolutely allowed to discuss and talk about it as a part of the community because you belong to it! Even if you don’t want to label yourself. It’s your feelings and they’re valid and authentic.

My best friend came out to me as lesbian and told me she had a crush on me. I didn't have the feelings back but I always supported her!

It sucks but I relate to Clare when she talked about her thoughts with being perceived by female friends. I was outed in middle school, but my friends thankfully stayed by my side through it. However, I began to notice none of my girl friends would hug me/ like physical touch and I've always wondered if it was because I'm not straight. Now, my friends associate me with not liking to be hugged on which is totally the opposite since I wish friends would hug me just as a sign of caring or that it's just a normal thing I see girls doing. It's the small things that make a big difference.

I am bisexual-- and I've had relationships with both men and women. Just because you've never been in a relationship with a girl (and might not ever) does NOT mean your feelings are not valid. And just because you are marrying a man does not mean you are just "straight" -- and remember that. I wish more people would be more open to the idea that sexuality is fluid. Clare I completely understood what you mean about the feeling authentic with your sexuality. Just letting you know you don't need to choose a label and that even if you have only dated men that doesn't mean your sexuality is any less valid. It's ok to have preferences and it doesn't mean you are any less of a lgbtq+ member (if that's what you identify with) than someone who has dated men and women! 💗

I'm a demisexual bisexual, and I totally get Claire's fear. I've only ever had things with girls, but now that i'm older my sexuality has become more fluid. I've never been like physically attracted to girls, like immediately. My only relationships were with my best friends so that's how I figured out that I was demisexual. I feel your pain my cat was an amazing king and we all loved him and when he got older he was diagnosed with heart which is one and a million chance but he got medication and lived for three more years and he sadly passed away this year early may he was 20! I miss you clare :( when I think of where i want my life to be and feeling content i always picture your life idk why, because i know that no ones life is perfect and you only show parts of your life that you want to show so it's totally unreasonable to be jealous but I am and i can't help it. I've been thinking about you quite frequently lately because i've been feeling really stuck in my life but then i remember that I'm seventeen years old, I haven't experienced hardly anything yet so how i can assume things don't get better when i could end up having the calm and content life that I aspire to have (yours)? Looking back at my past comments and outlook on life from across platforms, i realised how i really didn't appreciate the things i had at the time even though i felt at my lowest and thought nothing could get worse than that, it can. Sometimes it's not even for a worthy reason but I've realised that i can't control my emotions completely. Iused to think that if i just thought positively then everything will go away and I'll be happy, but that just really isn't the case which kind of trumps cognitive behavioural therapy, I know. I didn't count the variables in my environment, life is chaotic and i can't control it and as much as i want to believe that my environment doesn't have an affect on me, it does. It really does, and if i'm being honest i will probably look back on this comment and think "You thought that was bad?" as healing and rest takes time but as long as i believe and put effort into my happiness i think it will all be okay in the longrun. It's a surreal feeling being envious not of a person but rathe their life, but i just wish my life was more simple. When will i get to be happy? god that's morbid isn't it? i promise i'm not always this depressed I'm just feeling alone and melancholy. Woe is me. I digress, I hope you're doing well, i know we all miss you and can't wait to welcome you back with open arms.

i feel the same way about my sexuality. back when i first realized i was bi, i told one of my closest friends at the time and she basically told me that i wasn't because i only ever spoke to her about men that i liked. (im not friends with her anymore ive realized that she's homophobic and also racist) but, i started to believe her and told myself that i'm only doing that for attention. now, i am more comfortable with my sexuality and am starting to slowly come out to my family (my parents and grandparents still do not know just my aunts, brothers, and cousins) i've also started to actually have crushes on girls now without feeling like i'm just trying to go along with the "trend."

So about vegan children. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but my mom and her husband are, so they decided to not give my brother any kind of meat, and when he asked why they simply explained and let him decide if wanted to keep being vegetarian or not (he's still vegetarian). My sister is vegetarian too, but her husband is lactose intolerant (and vegetarian too), so most of their food is vegan, she rarely eats things with milk or eggs. They have a baby boy, my nephew, and he eats the same things as they do and he's perfectly fine. They go regularly to the doctor and they've never had any issues. Neither had my brother growing up, so I believe is totally okay.

my friends know i openly support the lgbtq+ community and a few know that i am biromantic (and asexual), and i feel you so much on that. i'm always scared my friends'll think i'm trying to flirt with them. sending love ❤
