Nice demo. Imo experience plays a big part in this decision. A novice or hobbyist will have a much easier time building a frame with a mig. However someone who knows nothing about cars but say has worked pipefitter could make a frame look like a work of art with some rods and a buzz box ⚡

You can stick weld just about any metal depending how hot you weld and how thick your metal is

Love the video. This is what i have been needing. I have a 64 4 door project that i want to learn to weld for. I have a cheap machine that can stick, flux core, and mig if i bought the gas and tank. I just didnt know which to learn. Do you have any opinion on flux core?

Hey! Glad the video helped. Flux core is great when used properly. Only problem is you’ll have to “chip” or grind the flux off of the weld. It’s Smokey, dirty, and has a lot a “spatter”. I would not recommend to use flux core on a frame reinforcement for the reasons mentioned above. Hope that helps with your decision making. Best of luck! 👊🏻
