I have boots from both Nicks and Txture. Both companies make very good boots, but they're not really comparable. Nicks makes a tough, heavy boot. Even the heritage styles feel really sturdy, and will have great support for your arches and ankles. They will also be heavy, and some feel that they are too cumbersome for casual wear (I don't). At any rate, you can feel the work boot pedigree. Txture also makes a very solid boot, and their caftmanship and material are second to none. But in comparison with Nicks, they are more of a fashion brand. I wouldn't hesitate to take my Sanity boots out trail hiking, but I wouldn't take them into the forest, and I probably wouldn't do any manual labor in them. I'd easily recommend either brand, but it does depend on what you want and need out of your boots.

I mean you either support your people or you dont. And at some point this is when we need to cut ties with Mexico. And anything that comes into America must be from Europe or America. But this is coming... Vulture Capital and Human Smuggling cant last forever...

you cannot purchase horsehides in the usa. they are sourced abroad.

I have struggled with the question of horsehide leather. Responses to animal rights criticisms about leather in general frequently note that leather is a "by-product" of the meat industry. I support using all parts of an animal, it's the right thing to do. How does this relate to horsehide? Are horses raised just for hides anywhere? I am aware that horse meat is consumed in some cultures, but horses seem like they have much more value alive than as meat, and I would guess their growth/production per feed cost also would not compare to other species domesticated for meat production (which I really doubt has ever happened with horses). I should probably research more, but yeah horsehide leather just doesn't sit well with me either.
