I think it's always a great idea to give the leftover embryos to someone else who is also trying to have a kid because there are tons of other people who would also enjoy having a child. I really hope y'all will be blessed with such a blessing.
As someone that is considering going on the waitlist for embryo adoption it is such a generous and amazing thing to do 😊 although it is a very personal decision.
Thanks so much for sharing your IVF+journey to conceive! It really helps to spread awareness that pregnancy isn't always easy and also educates people on fertility! I just want to say - can you please let people know that it is possible to get government funding for IVF? Specifically in Ontario there is "Ontario Fertility Program" where your first round of IVF is covered. This is important to let people know because the cost of these procedures, especially for some who could never afford it even if they saved, breaks their hearts! Thanks guys!!

Went through 6 miscarriages with my wife, before we were finally told she can’t have kids naturally. Decided to do embryo adoption because her egg quality and quantity was almost non existent and I didn’t want to genetically have kids if they couldn’t be hers. Now we have a beautiful 21 month old daughter. I’m crossing my fingers for you ladies!

I'm imagining 9 babies, the pregnancy + 1-2 years between each. that would mean Sam being pregnant for 10 to 18 years almost back to back. unless Allie decide to do it once or twice. that would be so much work. obviously it's your choice, but it would be such a shame to destroy them if you decide you don't want to keep all 9. second option was giving them for science experimentation but I'm not sure you can really trust what they're gonna do with them that's kind of an horrible thought. the best option would be to help a couple in need who has problem getting pregnant, that would be so amazing. but again, you have to do what feels the most right for you.

I'm so glad I live in the Netherlands and our ensurance covers almost everything. We only have to pay a starting fee of 345 euros and the rest is paid for 😄

Honey what is wrong with Canada I thought you guys had free healthcare, that price you quoted sounds like you live in America sweetie don't get me wrong I would love to have both of the Queens of Duchess as my neighbor. Did you have any "Nova Scotia Bluecross "🤔 medical insurance prior to ever any fertility treatment n for general good health for even every day prescriptions if one ever gosh for bid need....from the time you lived on your own or no longer on a parents healthplan ??? Always a key thing to have in province of NS...💡....at least for the drug coverage...through Bluecross.... they do have coverage for fertility *drugs* would have been handy...... good thing to pay into😉 or to have a medical plan for the children u have👌
Wow, I never realised it was so different across Canada! I'm in Ontario, and the Ontario Fertility Program covers 1 cycle of IVF, unlimited Artificial insemination, and unlimited Intra-uterine insemination. Good to know health coverage is different depending on where you live. Sorry you guys have had to pay so much out of pocket, but it will be worth it in the end. I wish you good luck on your journey!
eggs are what usually happen once per cycle for a woman and obviously most of the time doesn't lead to anything if you don't try to get pregnant. embryos are fertilized eggs that are already developing. so they currently have nine babies in very early stage of development and those embryos are frozen until they decide to implant them to start a pregnancy. they had to collect a lot of eggs, 27 I think, and fertilized them because not all eggs will succeed obviously. you don't always get pregnant on the first try even by "natural" means.
