Kick start is less convinient but it also saves alot of battery since the motor doesn't have to start from 0. I find it best to turn the kick start option off but actually kick start anyway.
For kick to start, i keep it on after i was leaning on my mantis talking to my friend and i accidentally hit him by touching the throttle. It was like he had just been hit by mike Tyson. I would recommend keeping kick to start on on powerful scooters to prevent winding your friends.
Lucky all of us since most scooters can be folded up. Stores really cannot say much, since there rules extends to bikes, but it won't hurt to call ahead an ask the property/store/restaurant owner.
I've been watching you for a couple of weeks and I find your videos entertaining and informaative. In a couple of days my mantis should be arriving ... I can't wait to ride it . Stay safe !
Hi man Just want to say I really appreciate your videos, really informative and the editing and flow of them is second to none. Wish you well in the future, you have gained a loyal subscriber
Great Video but in your next video I think it would be good to mention that you should have your break pulled in just enough so that it is not activated. This is a common practice that moped and motorcycle riders practice and some of these scooters can reach similar speeds to some mopeds so I think this valuable information
Have you looked into the folding locks ? They are small and can be mounted on the steering shaft so it’s always with. They even have fingerprint/app locking styles
Love your videos, keep up your amazing work, you inspired me to get a electic scooter and and wait intill i get the scooter then ill buy a gopro here 8 soon
Im getting closer and closer at getting my very first scooter! im counting days right now, but soon im starting to count hours. What is the first 3 things you recommend me do when I get it?? or how about 3 important things and 3 optional fun things? It's just torture knowing im still waiting.I live on a mountain top without a car, and the last bus ends at 6:40pm, so visiting friends that lives miles away have been close to impossible without a lift, not to mention grocery shopping is a living nightmare , but soon i can finally have a life again. im gritting sparks from my teeth in excitement!
Always get a helmet. If you're getting a fast scooter 20+mph get a full face helmet. Next get elbow, knee pads, gloves etc unless you want to buy an armored vest which motorcycle riders use. Next I would suggest a headlight + safety vest if you ride at night. I commented since he didnt but maybe he will too :D good luck!
Really enjoying the content/info you provide, def keep it up. Another mirror option to consider is a wristband mirror. I recently purchased one and so far have found it to be pretty good for my needs.
Hi Great Video! Hey quick question; Can I change gears from slow to fast or vice versa while riding my E-Scooter? I didn’t know if that was allowed. Thanks again 😊
You should do scooter adventure commentary vlog style videos. It might make for cool content. Like maybe plan a trip to a local coffee shop or ice cream parlor. And film the journey with live commentary
Questions: Did you turned on P Settings 1. Regen or Ebrake? 2. Acceleration setting ? 3. Cruise control? Tips / technique riding in cruise control mode. thanks.
Hey man, thanks for the videos. They are very useful. Ive been riding my turbo wheel lightning plus for a month now. Super awesome. Also what happened to your knees/chins 😅
Another cool video, It's been a while there is something in my mind about the brakes! and it's a question so if there is anyone who can answer my question then I will really appreciate that! is it possible to combine the Front and Rear brakes in one lever?
Had my first stop by a coo today. He was very nice about me riding the scooter as he saw I was riding responsibly. Had a nice chat about how it's a "gray" area of the law at the moment
where are you from if you don't mind me asking? I'm from the UK and it's illegal but idc and still ride my scooter, been past several officers too but they did not stop me.
I got pulled over by a cop for doing 45 mph in a 35 zone. They couldn't give me a ticket cause there is no vin or registration number on the scooter and no models are stored in their database..
@@l0str1b3 yup me to. Turns out it's only traffic cops that will stop you not ones from other departments. An I live near Portsmouth if you know where that is.
Hello i get an ECU sign on my display and it wont accelerate. I drove when it rained quite a lot and this is probably why. I looked up ECU and found out its to do with the control unit. So is it just a case of buying a new one of those? And is there specific types for specific models of scooters or does it not matter which one you buy? Or what can i do? Would appreciate any help.
Hii bro, I went to purchase the lock but it says it is only as strong as a U lock and my 2 bikes already had U locks and they were stolen in less than 5 minutes. What do you suggest? Are these better than U locks?
Hey RK9 & fellow subscribers. I’m new to the electric scooter world and my very first scooter is due to ship out today (Apollo Explore). I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!!!! I live in nyc and will be using the scooter quite a bit. Nyc is extremely noisy so I wanted to get a good quality horn that can warn pedestrians and vehicles. I couldn’t find much info online on a good horn I can purchase within the US. Can anyone recommend a certain brand, style, etc? Thanks in advance!!!
Hey RK, I've recently acquired a base model Mantis from Fluid. The rubber mat on the deck has a bubble on one side that is not present on the other. Is there a glue or sealant that'd you'd reccommend to fix it down? Thank you.
I'm planning to buy a Xiaomi m365 pro 2. I'm planning to buy a speed scooter unfortunately it is not available in my country. But Ive watched the Xiaomi m365 pro 2 can go 35 kph(w/ speedhack) and I want to go faster than that. Do you can get an extra speed by kicking it during acceleration?
How long have you had your Mantis... and how many times have you had to pump up the tires? I really want to buy a scooter but can’t decide if tires or solid wheels are the best
Hi there, i know this is an old comment but i have the same misgivings before my scooter arrives in a few weeks. Here's what i've learnt. My uncle swears by tube tyres for comfort and safety. RU-vidrs don't seem to talk about it as much as i think they should, but the tyre slime pre-emptively put into the tyres will basically save you from punctures for the life of the tyre apart from obviously the tube being damaged beyond repair.
Ralp Cambay ok the best scooter I found in your budget range named “MOTOTEC MAD AIR” ON URBAN SCOOTERS.COM and weighs 30lbs with max speed of 16mph, 19-25 miles range limit, 15 degrees hill climb ability & up to 225lb rider weight limit, & 4-6 charge time with a price tag of $599 BUT ON SALE RIGHT NOW FOR $459 with estimated delivery time in 2 to 6 days. I checked out at least seven different scooters and found this one to have the best specs for the price.
No drivers license required that's one of the main purposes to own a scooter. Police strongly prohibit people riding electric scooters on the interstate due to dangers involved, plus your scooter isn't fast enough nor stable enough to go over bumps at 60+ mph. And you don’t wanna ride in the shoulder lane cause too much debris (nails, broken glass, etc) causing flats.
@@rockefelleragent1357 yea dont want to say anything and cheet but im planing to to get a gopro and and film my first ride on the electic scooter witch could be fun idk, ill see
