In this video we dive into a bit of experimentation using acrylic ink and granulation medium. Acrylic ink is a lot of fun to work with but I find that you must be quicker working with it, as opposed to watercolor paint, because it tends to set and dry very fast.
Some staining colors tend to leave a mark behind, if you happen to attempt to remove them after application (you'll see this happening to me here), which sometimes creates very interesting results.
Finally, in this painting I use granulation medium heavily as a means to move the ink around, some water too, but a lot of granulation medium. That is what I spray with the small bottle.
My goal with this painting was to achieve some very organic effects on paper; not necessarily focusing on a particular landscape, but experimenting to see where things would go. I am pretty happy with the final result.
