It's cool to see younger Josh from Strength Side. There's a reason I found and follow both of you. I appreciate how you've both learned to tune your mobility through conscious natural movement and natural strength training and shared that so generously with us to help us be our best. It's great to see that you're connected.

I have an APT and I didn't even realize it until I got sciatica in June. Like you, I always thought my posture was pretty good because my chest was pointed upward. All this time looking in the mirror, I thought I just had a "belly," although I was thin. And one day, I pushed my hips forward and realized that no, my spine is just tilted backward slightly. My APT is definitely because of a loose core, weak glutes, and tight hamstrings. It has affected my upper back and shoulders as well. I'm hoping by searching around online I will improve my tilt in a matter of months. I would like to continue lifting and doing cardio without the issues I'm facing now. Pain really does suck!

It's actually the tight hip flexor that contribute to the pulling forward of the hips....this then stretches the hamstrings making them feel tight all the time! Hope you beat the sciatica because I've been there...And am battling with the worst case of it I've ever had at the moment but I see a light at the end of the tunnel now!!

Best ATP videos and information available on the internet. Right here on this channel. Just over two weeks of training along with your videos and I’m already feeling relief and posture improved. I’ll post back periodically and share how my progress is going. Thanks a lot for the work that went into this channel

Great video, Josh! This is exactly how I live every single day. You are absolutely right about maintaining conscience of your posture. To me, I felt the realization of having what I have heard from old martial arts teachers that preach about "mind and body" connection. It was that "WOW!" moment for me. I'm currently going through physical therapy for low back pain and a lot had to do with having anterior pelvic tilt. I tell you. The therapy helps overall. But I truly believe that it helps exponentially when we bring that conscience to the way we stand, we walk, we sit (which I dislike due to the issues that had brought me), etc. I will definitely share this video to my friends and colleagues, so they can see that what I have been telling is a real issue.

I have the exact same story. Except, I had a torn ql at 34, and waited until 53 to start doing something. I finally started using daily posture to try and put a lot of posterior pelvic tilt in. I finally stopped working out until mobility and tissue health are restored. But I don't have a lot of time left. Haha. Crap. But the pain is going away now. And everything is starting to become flexible. Thank you for this video. I'll definitely check out the program.

Is it normal having pain while doing stretches

What exactly do you mean about focusing on your posture in daily life? I have a pretty severe APT (been there at least 15 years). For my posture to look normal, I really have to engage the core and tighten glutes/tuck tailbone and hold constantly.

Same here.
@atmonotes

instead of thinking of tightening the glutes which for me doesn’t really correct the tilt, i think its more of making sure when your walking and sitting that you dont return to pelvic tilt through each movement and that should activate your core
