Does Bourdain wake up in the mornings and think to himself "Hmmm. What food shall I try and kill Cooper with today?" And Cooper asking for more water. Hilarious.
Or how do I embarrass him on live tv. I remember Anthony talking about he had better experiences with Indian food than spaghetti bolognese then Anderson tells him that it’s his safety food.
Sean Evans, if you read this please visit this place with Chili Klaus or maybe invite Eric Ripert and interview him about his history and Bourdain ones
This is officially my most favorite video clip in the series. Anderson 's eyes and look told every feeling from his tongue. He's a calm guy, doesn't reveal too much emotion. However, that spicy hot wings made him show the very true feeling he's got. The best part is while you see Anthony , on the other hand, swallow those bad boys one by one in casual. The title should be "When the most liberal newsman meets the most liberal food show host"
Looking forward to hearing more about Georgia. A country, where you feel that it is your home, even if you aren't native. It is a country, where you can stay at night in any house you choose, you are always accepted by the family. If they don't have enough food to share with you, no problem, they'll borrow them from neighbours, who give the food with pleasure and don't even ask for them back. People really love helping you. And besides the people, the nature is very beautiful and different. Some people live on the sea level and there is also the village, which is located on the highest point of all villages that exist on the earth.I'm Georgian, right now I live in Spain, which I like very much, but I cannot wait to go back to my land. During the 5 months abroad, I realized that I belong to Georgia. Thank you CNN for your interest to Georgia. Appreciated!
My Goodness, that is the funniest video I have seen in ages. The picture of Anthony grabbing his second and third super spicy chicken wing while Anderson is drinking his second glass of water, while his face is turning red and his eyes are watering is just priceless to me. RIP A.B.
As someone who's lactose intolerant just drinking dairy products isn't always an option. But the reason dairy works is because the compound that causes the heat reaction, the capsaicin, is fat soluble. So the grease in the chicken fat sucks up all that good hot stuff and that fat ends up coating your mouth and the reason dairy works is because it has a high fat content and dilutes and picks up all that fat and lets you swallow it down while simultaneously creating a barrier for your stomach lining and intestines. So what you need is another form of fat. The thing about being lactose intolerant is we lack the enzyme's required to break up lactose, which is essentially sugar found in milk but milk fat itself is generally just fine. So if you're lactose intolerant ask for a pad of butter. Or things like peanut butter, chocolate, mayonnaise...these all work as well as they have naturally high fat contents.
*"pat" of butter. ;-) and "enzymes', but I'll give you a pass on the latter because I know autocorrect is a cad! But, my grammar Nazi aside, that's really great information to know!! Thank you for sharing!!
Anthony got so fit later in life. RIP - truly a legend. I got to see him during a book tour. It was cool to see him not on camera. He definitely had a different vibe.
You can tell Bourdain loves torturing Anderson so much here in an older-brother sort of way. You could tell when Bourdain died that Cooper was genuinely hurt and saddened
From Oamaru, Whitestone city. south island New Zealand. Thanks for the relaxed humor shared with food and history...Anthony may god be with you fellow traveller.
Anderson is so protected: "Should I peel off the hot stuff?" Come on, Anderson. Live life! He also drinks a lot of Diet Coke and water. Then he has some more bread.
Hahaha. Anderson Cooper's awesome...Anthony Bourdain as well, but at 2:32 when Anderson drinks 3/4 of his water...classic. Then Anthony just calmly continues eating more of the hot wings without a breaking a sweat. Love it....
I just enjoy watching Anderson Cooper's extreme reaction while Anthony Bourdain down another one nonchalantly. These two's palate are on opposite side of a spectrum. Could they also do one, where Bourdain eats something Cooper normally eats?
I've tried spicy foods many of times that other people said was VERY SPICY but not to me !!! Last night my daughter and I were eating a couple of varieties of cheeses & nice artisan baguette. I also ate Thai chillies raw & whole. Yes they were hot but manageable. I love spicy foods !!! 🔥🌶
Drinking water does nothing because the spicy stuff in food are usually oil-based. Anderson did the right thing by eating the bread which is more effective in absorbing the spicy stuff from one's tongue.
Are they hyang-la chicken wings? Here in South Korea, that's a popular seasoning in Chinese restaurants for shredded pork and chicken wings. It includes dried red chilies, chili oil, and cilantro. It's sooooo good.
