@@LulukitterNot nessesarily. Anthony was living a rather privileged life and he knew it. Those of us who slaved away in kitchen's knew it as well. We loved him because one of our own got to the top. I'm surmising but I think Anthony lost sight of this. Ultimately, he knew he was happier in front of a deep fryer.

I'm not a psychic or anything but I'm sure that relationship was his ultimate downfall. That person was beneath him and I'm sure we all wish he had realized that and not allowed himself to get emotionally involved with a person who would play games with his well-being. I told them I was a pilgrim with no religion, which was true. They were pretty welcoming and it was a memorable experience. It helped that I had literally crossed all Europe on my way to Istambul and by chance (including pretty random delaying incidents) I got to the mosque 5 minutes before the big mass started, entering at the very last second. Pretty providencial staff, indeed. Still... I believe it was the blue mosque but I'd need to check it up again 😅

@EMVelez

He’s the anti-hipster. Hipsters have a completely vapid outlook on the world. They are concerned with trends and being “cool” for the sake of being cool. When hipsters displace people of color in the low income neighborhoods they move into, they never think twice about the people they just pushed out. Hipsters are poseurs at the end of the day. Tony was not that. He was effortlessly cool. He didn’t need to try. He liked hole in the wall places and high end restaurants alike. He would go anywhere and talk to anyone. He wasn’t a snob or a poseur.
