@@flemhawker9134 I'm the type of person who rarely cares about the lives of celebrities, but Bourdain's death hit hard because he appeared to be a genuinely good person.
@@andrefecteau doubt it. He wasn't the detective type and I doubt the illuminati or whatever they're called would care if one hipster dude said they exist
@@smellypatel5272 you stink...you don't know shit, you have no money...if you think that somehow it doesn't exist shows you are are a dumb ass and never have made anything in life
Man...i sure do miss this man, what an inspiration he was to me. I've been following his journey for over 20 years. Mr bourdain there will never be another like you.
My favorite episode of his show (Lyon, France #2). Went to Quebec City last year for the first time and have been up there five times in the last 15 months. Amazing place. Le Continental is fabulous. Watching this now I realize we sat at the same table when I took my Mom in May. Also have eaten at Joe Beef in Montreal. We ate at the bar and had a blast. Spent a fortune cuz everything looked so good and it was indeed. I think everyone should go to Quebec once. Quebec City in particular is amazing. Food is incredible. Petit Champlain is spotless. Wonderful hotels. It’s the same distance or us as NYC so when faced with a choice of where to spend our time and money Quebec City is the clear winner.
Anthony, when you were here in Montreal I do hope that you had one of our famous smoked meat sandwiches. Here are just a few of some of those great joints. Ruben's Deli,, Chenoy's Pete's smoked meat Swartz's Dunn's Snowden's Deli it's smoked meat Heaven I also believe that you can order a brisket from some of these places right to you're location
More to the story then a few Canadian guys over doing it for the show. They are restaurant owners And of course You stop into Montreal You will want to dine at these places because of the show.. Joe beef And other places They are all friends So it does not hurt to go heavy on the truffles And goose livers ...Bourdain speaks of "Hipster-free zone dining but it boils down to that exact thing that keeps places like joe beef going with its high prices
Bourdain. A purist at heart. On that tragic note, Melbourne regards itself as a foodie's paradise - So where is an old, ancient French establishment like this in town among the endless' bistros' serving the same tired dishes?.... Oh well, blame the hipsters, they think a Cassoulet is a fancy case for their Ray-Bans. But really, jokes aside - no one eats like this anymore.
That's what I love about being Canadian, what makes it amazing is that we keep old traditions, the world lives in Canada and what I mean by that is that Canadians are from all over the globe. We are a multicultural nation and have the most multicultural city in the world. You can visit China, Jamaica, Italy, Germany all in Toronto. It's not a melting pot when you go to Canada, when you come over, you are not expected to be all the same, but are encouraged to share and explore cultures. We are so much more easy going that we are even bullied for that 😅
Your idea of diversity is such of a pathetic global capital idea of ''cultures''. Eating poutine is not culture, connecting with your past, present and future as a group of people is what defines the heart of the country. But there are profound divisions in the cultural fabric of Canada, and your solution is to bury your head in the sand about it.
@@darthrevan6 if you couldn't understand my comment - it's okay I don't balme you I suffer from communication deficiency - I was saying Canada is built on not one but a globe size of cultures, but if you want to twist my words go right ahead. It doesn't bother me. I'm proud of the country I live in, and I wish you a great rest of your night. And just so you know, Canada doesn't really have a national dish so I don't know why you mentioned poutine, I never mentioned that at all.
@@darthrevan6 well, when I said culture I wasn't thinking of poutine. I'm talking about world culture. Canada doesn't have its own culture when you think about it. It's diversity and the many people of the world that reside in Canada is what makes the culture. So I have no idea why you are thinking I have no clue what culture and diversity is. Also, please don't assume what people say. If it's because you don't understand their comment, then say so.
I love Anthony But I must say I am very disappointed in his suicidal behavior. I just spent the last 6 months recovering from brain surgery to remove a large tumor. It’s been very uncomfortable physically and mentally. I have been told recently that I don’t have much time left. I am going to live every second as best I can to enjoy the gift of life.
This was peak hipster time. Now hipster shit is just the average 2020 shit. Come and eat your mediocre food on a blacksmiths anvil because its rustic and sophisticated and ART . Basically "art" has become a flimsy excuse for bad ideas to get a pass
@@CharlesReece-nr2wr Yet his legacy prevails. Because it's not the loss of money that his death caused that people remember. It's his character and belief that live on. Seeing as his best friend discovered him, I'd be willing to bet not a single soul knew what he was going through.
I honestly believe he was murdered. He loved his child and no way he would let his best friend Eric Ripert find like this. From what he was saying in his twitter account that there are dangerous people from very connected powerful people that had their eyes on him. It was heard he knew about the pedophile ring. I really believe he was rubbed out by powerful people to keep him quiet.
