You can tell how he swings between iso 1v3 games with some games in which he does almost nothing but pass, he is actively trying to discover the right balance. He is growing and will get there.
Ant does not need to make some advanced pass to be a good playmaker. His gravity going to the basket is so insane that a simple kick out would be deadly on its own. Considering Jaden is a great corner 3pt shooter and KAT's recent tendency to actually stand in the corner, this just might be the thing the wolves need to open the floodgates on offense.
The problem is that the wolves don’t rotate properly on offense. They just stand there making even a simple kick out difficult Spacing is really the issue
@@nydibsspacing is really the issue. Theres a lot of times especially late in games when our guy will drive into a crowded paint, look for the pass just to find that no one is really open because they didn’t rotate right. I think this Rudy pnr/dho really forces the defense to rotate and create that space for guys like kat and Jaden so they don’t have to actively try to get open as much
@@wemakecookieRuss is like 6’3 tops. Rebounds aren’t the issue, it’s that he plays with two 7 footers who are going to grab the majority of the boards, and it’s about hustle
These DHOs are great. Gobert isn't a threat on the outside, but putting him in this action brings his defender up, or creates space for ANT to work. DHO screens are more effective screens, and naturally create more opportunities than the standard pick and roll.
Having to put Beasley on Ant, what the h*** happened to the Bucks, sjeesh. Great vid as always. Hope this can continue with a better defender on him bc being able to go over 120 consistently while being able to hold teams under 100 ... that sounds pretty amazing.
Thi is super encouraging. I'd still love to see a more sophisticated offense in general, but it is truly great to see the offense adjust to recent issues in real time with Ant starting to use Rudy in a two-man game, Ant becoming more aware of his gravity in general, and KAT starting to let it fly. Next I'd like to see A) Jaden identify his role in the offense (maybe just as a cutter/corner 3-point shooter, but he's capable of more), and B) late game offensive sets.
Great Breakdown!! I get frustrated when Ant takes on 1 on 3 or 4 or the whole team alot but this is great game for him I believe he continue to get better!! This is by far my favorite player on the team
I think with how the officiating is going and issues with Free throw attempts, this was a breath of fresh air for Ant... There's other ways to go. If he can play like this most of the time he can dictate the 4th quarter.
the dreaded offensive game of antman, kat mike jaden are all in 3 piont lane waiting to catch and shoot 3s, whie rudy is on pixk and roll ready, plus the nba lone pectpect moving jumpshot of edwards. Incidentally wolves is the most defensive team in the league... leonard once said that jumpshot of antman is unique, the jordan way.
ant has a million options when the offense starts on rudys screen. he has 3 teamates waiting to catch and shoot 3s, rudy to roll towards the basket, plus ants abilty to shoot mid range. Its very to guard wolves offense. clippers watchout youre next
@@PRODIGY-vr4sd You can't really blame Ant when Rudy fumbles the ball over almost every time they involve him in some sort of action. Sure, there are times that ant misses rudy but usually he's surrounded by trees and can't see over them.
Rudy has to be in good position to catch the ball or else it’s most likely a turnover Rudy is worst on the team in turnover rate. He can’t catch or make simple passes
Still far more this season than last year. He already just passed his total assist numbers to Rudy several games ago from what he did all of last year. He is 22.
Yeah, that is game with a team practically handicapped, how ever the wolves lost some games where Edward lost more balls than any players in the game and from team 10 and 13 seeds, I never seen a guys that waste so many shots
Bc Ant has the ball more often than them But the worst Timberwolves in turnover ratio, the amount of possessions that end in turnovers are: KAT: 12.2 Rudy: 11.5 Kyle: 11.4 Ant: 11.1 Jaden: 10.9
