Don’t ruin this kid for the rest of us! You did the same with LBJ and he spent the rest of his career trying to convince us he’s better than Mike. Truthfully that probably made everyone hate em instead of enjoying watching him play.
Nobody will ever be Michael Jordan. He's literally 1 of 1. It's impossible to be looked at as better than him. Kobe tried and came up short. Lebron tried and is still trying and even he has come up short. MJ is in his own wing alone in the hall of fame. Untouchable
@@andrewmatzo8167it’s going to be extremely hard for anyone to establish two dynasties and lock down a decade. Your going to waiting for another Jordan for a while.
Thank you. All those comparisons do is put heavy scrutiny on a player based on unrealistic expectations for a guy who the media will destroy if we actually ever take the comparison seriously. It's a setup for the wet up. And notice, it's ALWAYS the media who starts this bs.
I disagree. There is alot facts that says Jordan is the Greatest. Only 3 3-peats in the history of the League. Jordan has 2. Jordan has 10 straight scoring titles. Jordan still holds the highest ppg average in history.
Its just impossible to think that anyone can surpass MJ. He never lost in the Finals! He had everything: the look, the game, he took the NBA to another level after Magic and Bird saved the league. He was about as perfect as an athlete can be. He’s still considered the GOAT and been retired for 20+ yrs. I truly wish the Lebron riders would just give it up. Its beyond embarrassing at this point
@@bigballer6666but second is not even a real debate thats another media narrative to push lebron.lebron aint greater than kareem, bill russell or magic lebron is number 5
Anthony Edwards is basically doing what we were expecting Jayson Tatum to do. Now, I am speaking a bit early because Edward has not even made it to a conference finals yet, but it certainly looks like he’s on his way, and he has that killer instinct that we really have yet to see from Jayson Tatum. Tatum is extremely talented, and very athletic. He has the perfect body build, but it just seems like he doesn’t have that switch to turn on to take it up a gear when his team needs it. Anthony Edwards is already showing that, and he’s only 22. I actually think the Michael Jordan comparisons are fairly legitimate in that regard, and I am a fan of the era. I watched it. There are definitely similarities. He has that personality trait that’s necessary for that type of hypercompetitiveness, and he is certainly athletic enough. He has that charisma, too, and I think he could end up being a very bright face of the league. I love his competitiveness. I have longed for those days, and I think we’re back.
I like this new generation of players. Nobody compared LeBron to Jordan but hes spent 20 years demanding fans and media address him as rhe GOAT. Whens he gonna retire already?
Prisoner of the moment Broussard has nothing to talk about since LeBron has been knocked out of the playoffs. The comparison to MJ is about athleticism and the no-fear approach to the game especially in his early years. Not GoAT.
@@hareemobduljawon not close? They are in tge same room Only thing lebron does better is pass Based on position Plus Tim did it in the West Honeslty its a flip of coin based on how you wanna build a team
@@dre7147 No he's playing in a weak league with 0 hand checking, and MJ would be averaging 40-50pts a game, he averages 23 pts a game in a soft league. This league don't play D and MJ points came off of rebounds and D.
Ant Edwards was just trolling and he's showing respect to MJ, Ant also said he wants to be better than MJ, and that he would beat MJ in a game etc lol. 🤣
Sports media needs to stop destroying these players (reputation, achievements, potential, and confidence) time, after time, AFTER TIME again, just for content. Its old and played out. Let the players develop organically and allow the cards to fall where they may.
He wants it to stop because he knows he could never pass MJ from the media’s perspective in the first place. They already said he couldn never be the goat at age 22…think about that. Nobody is going 6/6 in the finals again so the debate is basically pointless
I'm so sick of hearing that LeBron is the goat or 2nd behind Jordan. LeBron is the most overrated player in the history of basketball. It took him teaming up with 2 of the top 6 players in the world to win championships and even then he only went 2 and 2 in the finals with the Heat. Then he wins one in LA in a season where the NBA shut down for months where most of the league came back at about 50% from being out of playing shape. LeBron is a very good player but he's not top 5 all time
I never thought Giannis would be in the GOAT conversation. Not once. Peak AD when he was with the Pelicans made me think about it. He just couldn't stay healthy and didn't have the motor or the drive.
Jordan had a real team around him those years jordan had a hall of fame coach i think people forget its a team sport so how does team wins make you a better individual player
Why are people talking about the important piece here. Mj was a sg and a scorer. He was not a leader or a facilitator. His goatness legit came from how much he wanted it, and he wasn't going to let anybody take it from him.
These Ant and MJ comparisons are okay. They can keep going and fans will love Ant. It was only a problem with Lebron because the dude declared himself GOAT, and people were like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, chill!" At least, Ant is humble and people appreciate that coz people love greatness partnered with humility.
Too early but did anyone think Mike would be the GOAT when he was 23? Kris you see LeBron as a better than Kobe? But Kobe was the closest thing to Mike. Man your takes involving LeBron are always bad.
Sorry Chris, Kobe's skillet was more art than LeBron. He was also more clutch and won more rings 5/7. LeBron. Is 4/10 in finals. This is when the marbles are on the lines and he came up short with his stacked teams. He was a bully baller and gets credit for longevity, but not goat over MJ or Kobe.
More clutch? You must not remember when he went 9-24 in game 7 of the Finals and got bailed out by Gasol. You must not also rent LeBron has the most playoff game winning shots in history.
i think ppl compares the STYLE of his game.. the way he looks like on the floor.. and honestly i see some similarities... but those saying he is gonna be the goat or have a career like mike MUST CUT IT OFF... no way no how.. he is ANT-MAN.. let the kid be himself.
Anthony Edward's joined a team??? What in the he'll were the TWOLVES winning before he got there???? They were consistently a bottom 3 to 5 team in the league before he got there. You guys are reaching hard!!
I love how when anyone does something great in this era theyre Jordan 😂😂😂 Give me another person to 3 peat twice while going undefeated in the finals and THEN lets revisit this. Deal? 👍🏾
to be clear, The MJ comparisons are on his game originally (esp his aerial feats). HOW he gets his buckets is reminiscent of MJ in addition to the ahtleticism. The combo of skill and athleticism is what gives him the comparison....NOT the level of influence or reaching the dominance of MJ. Nobody can do that esp in modern NBA. Impossible to recreate that mystique.... and i love all the reincarnations in the league (Ja is new AI, Jokic is new papa sabonis) but Brou is a bit off with the Wade comparison. Spida is wade 2.0 due to having a better shot. other than that, i think even wade would say donovan mitchell is similar to his playstyle.
MJ had first jab step to blow by you, the fadeaway coming, post moves, you knew it, and nothing you could do outside of clothlining him and tackling him like the pistosn...
Chris - the reason Kobe isn't considered in GOAT conversation is because he only has 2 titles that are technically his. The first 3 peat belongs to Shaq. Those teams were geared arounds Shaq's dominance in the post, and that is proven by his 3 FMVPs.
Everybody so afraid of someone taking Jordan’s spot the fact his ant’s ceiling is definitely up there with Micheal Jordan talent wise and seeing what he’s doing to the defending champ idk in the words of the great Ja Morant he fine In the west if he wins this first one this year at like 22 definitely could end up with 6 rings or more
Everyone is so impulsive......People have great runs even someone like Ben Simmons who started so well ya'll media were crowning him the next Magic or LBJ and this dude fizzled out after a few years. One thing Ant has in the mindset of a killer which Simmons is like Charmin mentally....But let these guys play like 10 years and stop crowning them after a few good playoff rounds lol
Can we let the young man reach his prime before we crown him or compare him to the all time greats....i know he'll be great, but lets watch and see first
Towns doesn't have the intangibles to be a number one option period Edwards does and he has all the attributes to be a dominant player for a long time however when you start to make these comparisons to Jordan that's being very optimistic and foolish please just let him develop into his own player and not add this amount of pressure on this young man Michael Jordan is the greatest player I have ever seen and I don't think that in our lifetime we will see someone greater maybe my grandchildren will but as of now I am still waiting
When MJ is the first inclination people use as the standard by which we judge greatness.... that is very goatish... nobody will ever do this with Lebron.
Of course it's too soon! Do you know how many young players were supposed to be the 'next Michael Jordan?' How many of them lived up to the hype?? Zeeerrrooo...
Y’all have to start naming Kobe directly after Mike. McGrady said it how do we say Kobe is the closest to Mike yet he’s never mentioned. 5-2 in the finals and not to mention the defense, points, & records he holds. Put some respect on the Black Mamba!
Yall see wemby being an all time great and he couldnt even win 25 games yet yall dont see AE being one and dude has made the playoffs damn near every year since he got to the NBA and has clearly made the wolves contenders now. Smh i guess.
Anthony Edward's is 22 years old and your talking about I don't see him becoming this or that. Come see me in 5,6 years and tell me where you think he'll end up with greatest players
These guys are missing the point. It's not about the GOAT debate. It's about mentality, play style, and charisma. Also Bron shouldn't be compared to Jordan.
The MJ comparisons are just a complement of his game. Like when people say he’s MJ’s son, it’s just flattery. People say that about Jimmy Bulter sometimes. No one is putting him in the GOAT conversation, it’s hyperbole.
I love MJ and I do think he’s the GOAT but you can see they’re already cooking up reasons as to why Ant can’t be. “EVEN if he does the winning, his team was already good which Jordon didn’t have” etc etc loool you can see it already. Personally think it’s a pointless debate because as long as MJ resume is what it is, being the first to open doors that can never be opened again, he’ll always be the the “GOAT” so it’s really a pointless discussion
It’s obviously a long shot to win 6 rings to catch Jordan because not everyone can have a Scotty and Phil Jackson but yall need to be objective. Who has been more successful by age 23 Jordan or Ant. It’s ant and it’s not close
The thing is! That Anthony.Edwards is being compared to MJ!!! Not lebum who at the age of 40 is doing these so call amazing things? Thanks to you guy fixing the narrative for lebum
I’m sorry, but why are we even comparing him to MJ in the first place? Because he’s a young black player who can dunk? Let him be Anthony Edwards. There is also 10 other players who are better than him right now so to even compare him to MJ is ridiculous in the first place
I totally disagree with Chris, and Rob was not talking about the GOAT debate. LeBron is a media creation, there is no other player that tries yo control the narrative. Duncan is better than LBJ, so is Magic for example if you minusthe media hype. MJ was dubbed the GOAT from the eye-test, and winnin the 2 threepeats the way he did. He continues to disrespect Keep be by dismissing him without looking closely, Keep ne created the Mamba-mentality, that will live on past Lefraud King. The players that should be in the conversation should not be complainers, should always have owned up to the responsibility and should be chosen after a few seasons by the Fans. Any self-appointed King or Queen accoding to KRS ONE is not equal, nobody wants to be ruled this is the US. I hipe the media takes off the LeBlinkers and stops kneeling to kiss the ring. Thia is why I love the independent channels
@blaketindle4703 Jordan played with drug addicts how hard is it to beat a Crack head who used to be good in college if that then add the teams which were added watered down league is what Jordan surfed 🏄♂️
