I get where you're coming from with the "kiss and tell" comment, but personally, I never understood that phrase "Don't kiss and tell" like it's so shameful for someone to know one has a sexual past. And for a rocker like Joan Jett, any shame attached to anyone from her past telling about their time together makes even less sense! I mean, she's a wild rock n' roller, not a virginal Catholic schoolgirl who has a reputation to keep! Everyone knows she loves sex, sings about sex, and has had many sexcapades. So, why should she or anyone else mind people knowing who with? It just makes her life more interesting, as far as I'm concerned and fills out the story of her life better. Nothing wrong with knowing the details. Joan likes to keep secrets because she wants to keep people interested in the very thing she's keeping secret- ironically. She knows that the less people know, the more they'll want to find out. That's the irony of it. Secrets are only worth keeping if they are something to be ashamed of. Otherwise, they are merely hidden treasures meant to be found out some day, like a fun scavenger hunt, and that's what I think of any JJ love-life tidbit that spills out over time. It's simply history, in the grand scheme of things. No one's story belongs only to them, as we are interlinked, and so even if Joan chooses not to speak on it, her partners have every right to. Therefore, the whole idea of total secrecy is an illusion if not only temporary- for all, no matter who we are. So, we might as well just not mind.

@@storybellz you make valid points. And as you say, she doesn’t talk about the stuff, so my concern was just that if she feels uncomfortable about heterosexuality, because I don’t know if she would be, but it’s probably like you say.
