I appreciate the AK coverage. I read he's playing the next Asian Tour stop too. It sounds like he's definitely committed. I know he said something about "telling his story" during that first tournament. Sounds like he probably struggled with something personally and this is sort of a redemption. It would be cool to see him in contention again so many years later.

i wish AK all the best. i came back from an injury and its amazing how much u lose in golf so quickly. AK has my interest and i will be following his journey for however long it takes whether he retires or continues to play. it would take a lot of courage to play again after the mythical reputation that has grown over the years.

I wish all members of the Corrupt Golf Media were like you, very positive and unbiased. The Golf Channel has turned into cable news, us vs them.

Hey Matt I live in Hkg. You can not buy a membership directly with the club. An equity share membership would take 30 plus years of application. Private golf club membership is done by purchasing non-equity membership through a broker. We have three private golf clubs, The Hong Kong Golf Club, Discovery Gold Golf Club, Clear Water Bay Golf Club. Through the brokers they cost approx. $1.5M, $750K and $525K, respectively.

Matt, you’re right about the length of time (a year) for AK to get something going. Of course, the haters and hecklers aren’t going to give him that long.

AK can't get off to a fast start. Enjoying the LIV + coverage. I was at the Las Vegas tourney some serious world class players.

Having to play back to back weekends overseas, while not great for his score, was great for his headspace. He didn’t have much of an opportunity to start thinking negatively. There’s definitely still magic there, he’s just got to get his golf muscles fit and his ball-striking back to a fraction of where it was.

Huge Ak fan. He doesn’t look the same physically. Almost looks like a burn victim. What happened? He’s not old .

I think the reason for some of the “blow up” holes is AK is still trying to play shots that he just doesn’t have in the bag at this stage of his game and it’s getting him in trouble. Once he gets all his feels back or learns to play with the game he currently has he will start eliminating those big numbers.

It'll just take a little time and he's already starting to show some glimpses of his past prowess. The guy's good, he'll get back no doubts 👍

Appreciate the AK coverage. I don’t think he is far from consistent under par rounds. He just has to clean up those bogeys a little better. But with putting and around the green. That’s the hardest part to be on with. If he can get off the tee better and set him self up better for approach shots. He can get real hot.

Not a lot of pros have the talent this guy was blessed with. He still holds the record for most birdies in a single round at Augusta. The comeback is going to be hard but with enough reps and true commitment we might see a decent pro golfer. And maybe the competition will spark something inside of him. Hopefully. It’d be super cool to see him do good on the golf course.

your second yt channel needs to be touring with LIV

My understanding is AK stepped away from golf because he had a large insurance policy that he could collect after his "career-ending" injury, but that if he ever played competitive golf again he would have to repay that settlement. The LIV deal had to include enough money for him to make that reimbursement plus a bit more. He could have just remained retired, so it was a big deal for him to join LIV. Whether he ever approaches his old form, it is a fascinating story. I hope it works out for him because he was an exciting player and if he can play close to his old standard we will be seeing some good golf. Every sportscaster claims they are looking for great stories, but when this one came along it got downplayed, which is strange. I suspect it was because it was a LIV story and not a PGA story. He was never going to be able to afford to rejoin the PGA Tour because they would never give him a signing bonus, so LIV was the only way this could happen.
