Hey bubbie, seeing your distances, id recommend getting a slightly higher lofted hybrid to take off about 15-20 yards so that way you have a 250-260 club instead of having to 90 percent swing it as i know you dont like hitting non stock shots. Id also recommend getting a 54-55 degree (depending on what ur A is, they are usually around 50 degrees) since you have room for an extra and your 58-A has about a 30-35 yard gap which is huge for wedges. Cheers
From one baseball player to the other, in golf distance doesn’t matter as much. Bubbie build that confidence and work on that accuracy. Love the content tho always have! Can’t wait to see you cook this year!
I think Bubbie chasing distance makes him a valuable member of good good. Good good videos at the end of the day are for entertainment. It would be not as entertaining (to me) if all of them were all playing like Kwon and Brad.
Hope there's something solid behind that screen. 😮 Did you notice the distance distribution of your entire set of woods is smaller than the distribution between your two shortest wedges? 😅
Your coming over the top with a closed club face and delofting the face, which is why you smother hook and pull everything...yes it increases ball speed and distance but its really hard to play golf consistently...notice when you actually hit the ball straight you lose about 10 or so yards...but thats actually a normal shot with a more squared up face and less dramatic delofting of the club...its cool to see these ball speeds and distances on the simulator but they are really just air mailed greens and huge hooks that you immediately are head down walking away from cause they are off the planet, straight shots with consistent distances, thats the key
Love the content my guy looks like you need to tighten up that top end of the bag a little maybe drop the 4i and 3 wood tweak the hybrid FW set up and that could help to find a way to squeeze a sub 150 wedge in there
And the right to left dispersion numbers were?! Good fun Bubbie but those pull draws and blocks aren’t going to translate to low scores on course chap 😂
I would swap out a hybrid with a 3 iron, add a 54 and replace the apex wedge with maybe a 50 or 51 degree. That thing is almost like a pitching wedge at 48 degrees
5:41 great video bubbie, have you done a lie test recently? The big draw is a path issue but looks really toe up at address, maybe consider trying a flatter setting? Obviously could fix path but lie angles could be interesting to play around with
amazing speed and power sir! but u have a huge gap between 4i and Hyb. what if you have a 255 shot up hill? Are you going to get another club in between those and lose the 3w for example? Also, u can prob put more loft on ur 7i to get 190, cover that small gap!
11.7 path.....1.3 face. Wild. Bubbie, you are still the man tho. What loft is your 7 iron? Usually tells the story of the style of irons. Standard 7 iron was originally designed to be 34-35 degrees. I know these days club MFG are lowering these as low as 28 degrees to help out high handicappers move the ball. Someone like yourself could benefit from having cavity style irons for the foregiveness, but a more traditional style loft set up so you can get your carry distances a little more consistent. This would cut down on your random ball carrying 10-15 yards further. 131 clubhead with the driver tho......wow. The drives carrying like 310 were at 4k+ in spin rate. The moment you got that spin rate down to 2800, you started carrying it the 320+
You need a heavy dose of finesse if you're looking to score well in the confines of traditional golf. Needless to say you have insane speed. You dial back the brute force and you'll be good.
Bubbie is my favourite from the good good family.... totally relatable.... until he hits a golf ball and then all similarities disappear 😂 170 yard 9 iron 😮.... he hits his 5 iron as far as my driver ..... serious numbers
i think that for the 7 iron i guess it depends tbf but I'd aim for around 21-23 launch angle it seems yours was low, but the backspin was fine so i guess its right he just swings with so much force lol keep it up bub.
take your 3 wood out and either add an extra driver. have one draw and one fade or add a wedge to bridge the gap between your 58 and your A wedge you hit that hybrid just fine . no need for 3 wood
You got a 10-15 yard difference between gap wedge and pitching wedge, need a 54 degree. It would fit in the yardage you were estimating for the gap wedge.
I looked up the loft chart for the Callaway Apex, and your A Wedge is 48. So a 52 degree wedge should be perfect for you to fill that gap between the 58 and A wedge
Genuine question: should you really be swinging that hard for every club? I feel like the results would be very inconsistent on course. Maybe knock 20-25 yards off of every club to see what your on course yardage would be.
He tries out new clubs, hits them super far, then just throws them in the bag. I like Bubbie but he'd rather show off how far he can hit a club than actually play good golf
If only you had a straighter shot path, good lord, you’d hit missiles all the time 😮💨😮💨😮💨 and you got the ball speed down and everything. I’d say maybe try and better your swing just a little bit. (Don’t get me wrong tho, I still absolutely LOVE your swing!!) keep grinding Bubbie!!
Thank god I don’t have his distance. He’s got 1 club under 148 yds that he can full swing. Basically more than half his round must be less than full swings. \s
His distances are in a totally different stratosphere than what I do... His pitching wedge goes the same distance as my 7 I am... Although I am 63 and he is well way younger
2:07 Bubbie you should take the average of 110/111 of this club, my 58 i can flush it at 110 but most of the time it be a push draw. Aiming for like 90% gives me consistant 105 carry with consistant spin rate and straight ball. You should rarely play your club 100% even more wedges, try to lower down yourself a bit and i am sure just by that you’ll gain like 3 to 5 strokes ! I know your powerful swing and love seeing you driver go 340, that’s great on scramble but even try to hit you gap wedge 100 yards, only good players can hit good 70-80% shots consistently, even Tiger said it the hardest stuff his dad asked was to hit some shots like a 7 iron at 150 yards !
I’m not a fitting pro but from the looks of it you could possible flatten your lie angle 4* and get rid of the big draw and straighten out your shape and the spin seems about 1,000 higher than they should be
Something seems off. His irons go for miles. I was thinking he might have some super hot irons since his ball speed is so high but his spin rate is really high too. Almost all of his irons spin the same which seems odd so I’m not sure what is wrong here. Anyone have any insight? Is he in high elevation? But still, that wouldn’t affect spin……
Really high spin numbers with long irons. You have so much speed and it really generates more spin but you really need to get a fitting. Bend those irons for stronger lofts and get those spins down. Dear god how much more they will caeey 😅
Swing out of your shoes, then wonder why it went so far. Get that distance shit out of your head Bubbie and focus on getting better. You got potential.
