I'm not anywhere near giving up on AR. He'll be back better than ever. I do think that the coaching staff needs to consider not using QB designed runs and limiting how much he gets hit until they can get him into some advanced training on how to get hit, how to fall, and all of that. I think he's used to being able to just run people over and that isn't the case in the nfl. It also seems like he might be tensing up when he gets hit which can lead to more injuries. That's a hard habit to break, though.

He can’t throw down the field, all his throws are little dink and dunks. He needed a year to sit and learn to throw down the field and process reads and be able to sit in the pocket. Using his running is pretty much the only way they’re getting down the field with him at qb

Everyone just needs to look up Andrew Luck, that was a big dude. AR is a little heaver and more athletic still everyone in the NFL is big, strong and fast. If they can keep him in the pocket and on short scrambles he will likely be fine. When they think he is the next coming of a running back just like many other players his shelf life is going to be very short.

People keep saying this and it makes no sense 😂😂... AR is a dual threat QB.. you take out the running plays and you think he turns into Drew Brees or Tom Brady in the pocket? The threat of running is what made him a top draft pick and is the reason hes in the NFL. Some guys are just more injury prone than others. Josh Allen runs like a maniac and hasnt missed a game in years.
@MLN-yz4ph
@MLN-yz4ph 8 месяцев назад
I fully agree but you just made my point in a way. Luck should of had a long NFL gold jacket type of story. Instead four years in he was to beat up to keep going. And he was built like a nerd tank. There is not a world where truly running QB's can survive in the NFL. Yes, having one that can get out of trouble is great but the collage game is not translating into the NFL from the health stand point of QB's. The only upside I see to any of this is that every team will be on a Rookie deal for there QB's due to how often they have to be replaced. @@GCMike

Several ways to digest that play. I feel like they were not trying to option the end, but ultimately it kinda ended that way. They left him totally unblocked or even chipped. Had Smith or Pittman got a shoulder into Landry then AR would have blown by and gone for a nice gain. Not sure who's responsibility it was, or if they intended to not block him, but even then... Pittman did a horrible job on his downfield block. That missed assignment basically slowed the play down enough, and forced AR to turn up field which allowed Landry to catch AR. Defense played it well by containing the edge. It was just a poorly executed play that ended worse than just a bad play, obviously. Be glad to hear anyone else chime in on that thought.

Wouldnt change a thing. Jalen Hurts had the same OC and prolly ran even more than AR. One guy is injured every game the other made it to the SB. Some dudes are built for the NFL and some arent. @@zType2 Fair point, but take into account that Hurts didn’t go to the SB until his 4th season, he needed time to develop, so will Richardson. Become the first team to use a relief QB? Bench him for the 4th for Minshew.

He just need to talk to Vick and RG3. Get down bruh they need you. Colts might have one if he can just stay healthy.

We had a RB cover 195 yrds there was no reason to call a designed Qb run that was jus a bad call but coach imo

Nothing surprising here the only thing surprising is he got drafted so early and all the hype for a kid that couldn't win college games or even make it to the field majority of the time hopefully he gets healthy but I don't see him making it as a NFL quarterback but maybe I'm wrong Time Will Tell

People laughed at me when I said I was more afraid of minshew than AR when he went out vs the Texans. He's one of those sneaky good guys.

you can do that against 17, 18 and 19 year olds but not grown fast strong men, he's not going to last.

Maybe I'm happy we didn't have the #4 Pick in draft huh we were gonna pick him if he was there, check this back in a few years we will have a better idea but happy as hell thus far we got the Spoonman DW Witherspoon

This is the exact reason why you don’t ever go for the QB that runs. Get yourself a passer who never looks to run unless he desperately has to.

If he “has to play” the running style to be successful we all know how that ends long term. AR has to take care of himself.

I blame this on the coaching. He is a rookie you know he's a rookie you cannot put them in arms way like that just because he's a great athlete.

That's because two of those games Richardson had the lead when he went out and teams hadn't game planned for minshew and the ravens beat themselves.
