I used to commute to and fro St. Pete and I'd hear Bubba and Cowhead on 102.5 when the station was ending classic rock. Bubba's show was mostly about politics and obscure motorsports to fill up time. Cowhead's show was very good. I remember listening to Scott Hall and XPac on the air during a contest where some girls let a toothless guy suck on her teet to win Van Halen tickets.

Anthony, I recall Bubba taking up for you during your radio issues recently. Are you going to do a follow up with Mike and talk about how the tide has turned with Bubba's marketing efforts? Additionally, about the ratings, which all of you in radio live and get fired by. The numbers are pretty compelling against the Bone's changes. I listen to Bubba and use to listen to Mike, and admit he was a great afternoon drive guy, but mornings he fell flat for me. I can say watching this Radio War, is awesome and Cox media not countering is the worst decision you can ever make in a business sense. The one call Mike made was a jab not a knock out. Bubba's T-shirt give away in their parking lot with about 1,000 cars, a strong upper cut, countered with a parade around their building a couple days later with 300 cars, put Cox on their buttocks. What Cox marketing is failing to grasp when you do not respond, people fill in the void with what they want...Not asking you to take sides, just be fair and open to the ground truth.
It really is sad and true but when I used to be a hardcore Bubba fan Ned really was the funniest thing I thought. Missed when they used to do the prank calls those were great. His show has been really falling apart and then Brent and Spice Boy both eventually leave.

The only reason Caltas show is number one in Tampa is because Bubba isn't on FM. With Bubba being only heard on AM in Tampa he is at a disadvantage. If he was on FM in Tampa he would slaughter Calta in the ratings!
I would rather listen to Bubba and his fake characters than Cowhead any day of the week. So If you want to hear Bubba as of 2017 - he is on 820am in Tampa 6 to 10 am and will be mopping the floor with this Cowhead guy again very shortly. Tried listening to Cowhead ( while Bubba was off the air of course )and you kind of need instructions to understand what in the hell they are talking about. It is all in some kind of inside mumbling code, so No Thanks Cowhead.
Yeah but theres the video where MC wouldnt answer calls from bubba after saying he wold never run from him. I cld care less really as i dont listen to either, but just saying there are some videos of BTLS going at MC pretty good. Its prob all made up for ratings anyway.
Litigation. Clem was sued by Nielsen for $1 million for ratings tampering in 2016. According to that lawsuit, Clem texted a Nielsen panelist offering cash to tune in to the Bubba show. Clem settled the case by paying Nielsen an undisclosed amount in 2018, saying, "I deeply regret interfering with Nielsen's collection of listening data." Nielsen said none of Clem's interference "materially impacted" the ratings.
I'm not really a fan of either cow or bubba but I've heard them both minimally & cow is def tryin to spin this. I looked up the audio here on YT & heard the entire convo. Apparently bubba left the morning time slot with a 14 share & cowhead brought it down to a 7? I googled that claim & it seems to be correct. So in my mind Bubba completely owned the argument. it's funny how butt hurt ant is about Btls talking shit about o&a years ago. Bubba had a fraction of their listening audience yet Anthony indulges in this war between radio nobodies as if they're a big deal. Ant is bankrupt entertainment wise. He should beg Siriusxm to take him back. Even if it's his sad, pathetic solo act.
