Antikythera Fragment #8 - #AncientTool Technology - Layout Line Visibility, by Clickspring.
Wine, wax, woad and yes, There Will Be Blood... all in an effort to discover the best ancient marking fluid. And I'll let you decide how the blood supply issue might have been dealt with in the ancient shop - I'm guessing it might not have been much fun being the apprentice on the day the large dial was marked out!

Dykem is a dye (often blue) used in metal work. Mr Alec Steele is a RU-vid who widely uses said chemical in his metalwork.

When it comes to drying time, I think we should take into account the extraordinary patience the makers of these devices had.

Your videos are SO thorough and well made, I'm just saying that now even though I've been a fan for a long time. I'm surprised you don't have well over 1 million subs.

With a name like George Manalis, I would have never guessed your origins! :)
@manafield89
@manafield89 5 лет назад
@@jmercouris Yeah its so difficult to guess, but then again its not like those big surnames that someone may hear like Papadopoulos etc. Fun fact the names George and John are the most used male names in Greece.
@maxximumb
@maxximumb 5 лет назад
@George Manalis I thought Nick or Νικόλαος was at the top. Seems like every second person on my brother in law's island is called Νικόλαος or some variation. The rest appear to be either Σπύρος, Χρίστος or ερασμιος.
@manafield89
@manafield89 5 лет назад
@@maxximumb Νίκος or Νικόλαος is like the third most used male name in Greece so you are not wrong about that. Keep in mind though that in Greece is customary that every third generation keeps the name of the first, meaning that the grandparents have the same name with their grandchildren and also some islands have some names in a bigger concentration than other places. Σπύρος and Χρίστος are common names too, but not in the scale of the others. Εράσμιος in the other hand is super mega ultra rare name. So much so that i 've never heard it before. What island is your brother in law from? And am i the only one that finds the whole discussion weird?
