Yes we are. He said something like idiots many of us knew better. I know i did. What i heard about him and TCU at the time. He was gone. But complications from his surgeries cause panic and the offer was rescinded. deion was making moves to leave the 2021 season. Time passing people talking. But lots of us defended him we thought they were lying on him he's was dying in ummc. He was TCU pull their offer. Optics didn't sit right with the money people i guess deion team went to work cleaning up shutting down any reference to TCU. People don't even refer to that no more. But we fell inline we believed the messaging. I knew at his 11/05/2023 Presser he was done and gone. I posted then. deion was always about him never about building a legacy at JSU it was a fool folly for us to believe that. I envy you for not listening or believing you stuck to your belief that he was who he say he was. I commend you.👍🏾👌🏾

He did know what he was getting into that’s why he built the structure and infrastructure he was able to built in such a short time. He didn’t bitch or complain. He got to work. As much as I love Ed Reed who knew what he was getting into he didn’t get on social media and trash the university. He played the hand he was dealt. This man would get on the scat and cut the damn grass for godsakes. People also has to realize I guarantee his clock sped up once he realizes his own mortality when he had the health scare. I went to a HBCU for 2 years, my daughter went to Howard. Coach Prime didn't have that HBCU connection, nor is he their savior. Federal and State funding and alumni are HBCUs savior. Go check the giveback rate of HBCU alumni.

The issue with this narrative is Deion Sanders never said he was the savior of HBCUs. In fact, he said out of his mouth that if another opportunity was to present itself, he would consider it, as it did. Black people looked at him as the savior of HBCUs, and ran with it. That man did his job and executed what he came to do, and we as a people f*cked it up

MEAC great Antoine Bethea. There are six NFL HOF players that attended college in S.C. Five of those HOF players attended SCSU. Do uour homework. Jerry Rice shined light on HBCUs; Steve McNair, Orlando Brown, Doug Williams, Harry Carson, Wallter Payton, all represented HBCUs. Y'all are in love with what y'all say oppresses you. I watch all these stars going to watch Colorado play. Why dont they go to an HBCU game? Don't get me started. 2023 and "black" people are still brainwashed.

Deon came in ignorant of HBCU corruption and left educated. Whats the issue? He evolved like we all should. Black ppl gotta stop supporting institutions that say they're for black ppl but their actions dont match their words. Too many are loyal to entities that are using you in your own communities.

Thinking that Prime was doing it for HBCUs is your problem. As soon as a more lucrative offer appears he’s going to bolt, this should’ve been common knowledge to everyone. Prime turned around Jackson State, enough to get noticed by bigger and better schools. He did his job. The next step was to leave.

But that’s how the football world is. An example of what I am saying is the recruit who was planning to go to Jackson St but once Prime left he went JSU is over and his top 5 now didn’t include a HBCU and he went to Auburn.
